A new Governor who does not know how issues in this Empire State City have to be handled correctly particularly if the issue has been ignored and placed on the back burner. What’s the issue? The issue is Crime in the subway and busses. This is a program that works like a migraine. It comes and goes but unless you are always working on it keeps coming back and as the technology improves for the good and the bad so when it comes back it acts like a coronavirus, it changes the wrongs which means what you did 4 years ago you can use the same way.
If we had an experienced or at least smart mayor he would have stopped her right in her tracks. But because he has no ideas of his own he figures to let her stew on her stupid juice and if it works I’ll show up with her for a photo op. Silly!
New Yorkers don’t care about whose stew one stews because they know it will be the citizens of the city that will be thrown right on the fire.đŸ”¥
So, for now, workers trying to get to work will be late and it will inconvenience everyone, particularly the "tourists who” will be reminded every day how unsafe the city is, where is Mario Cuomo? But because he had unpaid favors, the chicken came home to roost and someone yelled sexual abuse! which is something every politician should have learned by now. Keep your hands on your wife, husband, or paid prostitute but that is water under the Third Avenue bridge now.
So what should have happened? Crime is not new to the city and when the flies come out to bite you,
swat them with the people that get paid for it, the cops! Not the National Guard. It just makes me laugh because I won't get caught dead in the subways or busses I can laugh but feel so bad for this city.
You have two 2 cops on every train. Then you start getting the undocumented lawbreakers out of the city,. If you have to hire a plane to do it, do it. Instead of giving them “$1000 and a bed, get them out, Let them spread the word that New York is not worth it, Texas might be better, or better yet Venezuela, Those with credible death threads you keep, and those are not the problem. The rest of the lawbreakers, send them to jail, They are usually from the Bronx and Bklyn, even Staten Island now. Put them in the Correction dept busses. You got plenty of those.
Get the Coast Guard out, and replace them with cops. Yes, I know they cost money but so does crime and so does scarring the Tourists away.
