Ukraine Signatory of The European Convention Violated The Equal Rights Articles

UKRAINE: The love tunnel💚💖

(Introduction by Adam Gonzalez)

I am so sad to talk about this since Ukraine is making lots of promises to be accepted by the European Union and wants to be a member of NATO. We have Turkey along with some Bulcan states, signatories of nondiscrimination of equal rights who have forgotten they signed. I know Ukraine does not want to be seen as such. I will implore Ukraine to comment on this and let the people know that Ukraine's signature is gold and just like they were singled out for discrimination and destruction by Russia, LGBT around the world are in the same situation. We expect more understanding of this issue on the part of Ukraine. No one can make anyone like someone, it can not be legislated but to everyone be treated equally by their government is something everyone deserves. I hope now since they can't discriminate, I hope they take it to heart on their own and have it on their constitution so no one can question this type of discrimination again. This issue will come up again and I hope the President will take care of it. One thing is to do it because you believe in the non-discrimination of other human beings because of who they are, where they were born, and who they love, not because a court orders you to do it. Let's see the example of Estonia.

PARIS, (Reuters) –

A same-sex couple who tried unsuccessfully to get married at seven different register offices in Ukraine suffered discrimination, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled on Thursday. The verdict, in a case brought to the court by plaintiffs Andrii Maimulakhin and Andrii Markiv in 2014, adds to calls for increased protection for and recognition of LGBTQ rights in the country, whose constitution still describes marriage as between a man and a woman. The couple’s “sexual orientation had been the sole basis for the difference in treatment,” the court said. “(Ukraine’s) broadly worded aim of the protection of the traditional family could not in itself be accepted as a valid ground for justifying the denial” of equal rights, it added. The court ruled that Ukraine, a signatory to the European Convention on Human Rights, had violated articles on discrimination and the right to private and family life.
