It started with Chris Christie running for president and he got a hold of statistics about Suicide and Opioids. His second job is Ice cream tester. Young people overdose on opioids mainly mixed with Did anyone mention alcohol? alcohol. Well, we have to stop opioids and let the people in pain hold their pain because opioids are bad. The Republicans saw this as a good wedge issue since the Democrats were not the ones hugging media time about this issue but the media was eating this up. Eventually, the Dems got on board also.
What happens when you have the political parties in the U.S. fighting a class of drugs that only licensed medical staff can prescribe? You take the drugs away. But what if the drugs are safe and effective taken as prescribed and opioids tend to be addictive but work. It doesn't matter if the politicians can use it as an example of how alert they are about the suicides in this country. Maybe those suicide were caused by the Republicans we should know that LGBTQ under 21 is the number one committing suicide except many of them use other means. I'm going to quote a Republican in a speech to the well of the legislature: "Who is our real enemy? Now when Isis was throwing homosexuals out of buildings we sent our planes out and bombed those buildings. Destroyed them. There was no need to destroy the buildings but they were killing homosexuals and it proves that Isis hates homosexuals more than we do (Republicans).
What happens when kids hear that. A woke in Florida wants to protect children, really? By attacking Disney and having them commit suicide if they are outed in class/school and cannot even talk to the teacher? Is that protection?
Coming back to this senseless murder in Atlanta who is responsible? Of course, we have to blame the shooter first. But what about the person that denied it? Supposedly he would have been given the medicine that he needed and according to those events he needed something! along with that drug or at least maximum strength. Had that been done, no casualties in Atlanta? Guarantee, No. Instead of Republicans using meds as wedge issues to stay in power, why not limit the gun this ex-serviceman was using? Would that be a good idea? No because it's easier to attack the meds. Aren't people being killed by semiautomatic weapons? A lot more than any opioid. But that is not the politics they have chosen to ban.
Right now there are people suffering in pain because the doctors are being afraid to prescribe it. If you are taking you have to see more than one Doctor to spread the responsibility. I've had a lot of bones broken in my life and I speak of experiences.
Two decades ago the nurse will give you a little card with numbers 1-10 and when the Doctor came you will give him the number of pain you have. They still do it but is a joke. If you say ten what are they going to give you? Tylenol or other non-opioid that damages your liver and kidneys. Nothing to keep the pain under control. The way the system worked was to neutralize the pain. They will give whatever the doctor determined was enough to stop the pain or come close to it. That will be for a couple of days and after that, the rest of your pills were a fraction of the strength but having the pain under control they found out that could keep it stabilized until your next visit and then see where you were. That went out the window. It worked too good and pharma was yelling not enough pills were being sold, but no Chris Christie ever came to defend that. Republicans only defend what they can tear down good or bad. If it is good they make look good by quoting numbers and surveys it's easy. All they have to do is get the main media under their umbrella. And people particularly if it comes from self-admitted liars like Fox News will go along. But don't think that the rest of the media is good. The work for commercials and the rate they charge is according to the number of viewers. So they are not going to start reporting on things the viewers don't like.
So is a shame that now the politicians will hold a minute of silence and have them in their prayers, another lie. Meanwhile, we lost two lives unnecessarily, and there 4 in the hospital that hopefully will make it.
I guarantee you won't hear from Trump, Christie or the meatball Woke from Tallahassee asking why was he not medicated? Obviously, he was the classic case.
