Nothing Says Patriotism Like the Smell of Burning Meat -On This Holiday

And that really what it’s about, isn’t it??

Not what’s good for the country.

Not what helps the majority of Americans.

Not what’s even constitutionally sound.

It’s, what can we do to hurt those who oppose(d) us.

Because nothing says patriotism like the smell of burning flesh!

In 1958, the Ku Klux Klan KKK planned a rally in Maxton, NC to harass Lumbee tribal members and other non-whites. On the night of their rally over 500 Lumbee men showed up to the KKK rally with guns and sticks. The Lumbees went on the attack. The KKK members were routed and ran out of town in what is now called the Battle of Hayes Pond.

The Battle of Hayes Pond was a pivotal moment in the history of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina and the Civil Rights Movement. The Ku Klux Klan had planned a rally in Maxton, North Carolina on January 18, 1958, with the intention of intimidating Lumbee tribal members and other non-whites in the area. However, over 500 Lumbee men, armed with guns and sticks, showed up to confront the Klan.

As the Klan members began their rally, the Lumbees descended upon them, brandishing their weapons and shouting slogans like "Lumbee power" and "We don't want the Klan in our county." The Klan members were caught off guard and quickly overwhelmed by the sheer number of Lumbees who had shown up to oppose them. In the ensuing battle, several Klan members were injured, and the rest fled the scene.

A voter ballot sometimes can be more powerful than and full rebellion. The GOP did it even bringing in Republicans and independents that did not believe in what they were going to do but never bother to... read and get and get informed. The only reason we still post and write current events.
