Political Victories are Made of Money $ Who Shells it out?

Before showing you about big names and what they give to get power from the government, let me tell you a little bit about the power of voting and to show that sometimes voting is not as easy as some make it sound.
I want you to still vote for both local and national elections because that is the only way we can put the people there that represent what we believe. The only reason that we get the wrong  Governor, senator or Congressman is because we did not vote or enough people like us also did not vote or got confused and voted for the wrong person because the commercials told them to vote in that direction.
Sometimes is easier to know what the candidate stands for than the voter.
For instance you own a gun for personal protection even though your state wont let you register it and be legal. If you get caught having it (even at home lock up) is two yrs jail, even though you are a law abiding citizen. You feel better with it lock in a safe, a gift from you now dead father. You are not a hunter but you enjoy target practice and there are a couple of cuties that you really like and they seem to like you there.  At election time one candidate is pro gun but is supported by the gun lobby and wants to make available to most people with a drivers license the most advance shooting automatic weapons, Similar to the ones used at some school shootings but these ones can fire 80 rounds in 30 seconds at a squeeze of the trigger and are 10 times better than the ones used at shootings we sometimes hear. He also believes that gays are converted and are developed because of a strong mother and weak father figure. He also does not believe in social security instead he believes in vouchers for buying retirement insurance for the very poor. Every body else will contribute to a fund that hopefully will do well and be part of your retirement. He said the stock market wont crash again and leave everyone owing money instead o getting money because his calculations tell him so. He has a Masters in economics. He believes in a strong defense and more money for the Pentagon to fight terrorism. He said that unless we fight the terrorists where they are we will have to fight them in US’ major cities.
The other candidate which is deeply religious believes that guns kill people not people and wants a zero gun policy for any unregister gun with mandatory sentence of at least 2 yrs. He also believes in equality and equal rights for everyone.  He believes that is clearly in the scriptures. He wants to close every single pray away the gay the religious franchise that tries to convert gays into straight by an expensive program of penitence and closeness to god but he will not stop allowing schools to open for church indoctrination and services when the schools are close. Free of charge. He believes marriage is for anyone who loves each other but the church should have a final sway. He believes in peace and not fighting any wars unless Washington is attacked. He thinks WWll should have not been fought by Americans and Europe should have fought their own battles. He also believes that money from the pentagon and defense should go the the schools system
Which one would you vote for?  Would you stay at home because both don’t think equally as you do? You happen to be gay or a family member of a gay person and remember you own a small ,32 caliber gun.
The scenario I presented above I consider to be very hard on a voter like the one I mentioned but sometimes that is what happens.
The answer to not having that calamity present it’s head on election day when you hate both candidates is to get the right candidate early on. For that you need to vote and get involve on the most local elections. When you see that candidate that seems to represent you he/she will need support. A running candidate for congress today could be running for a leadership position or ouside of congress for Governor or the presidency eight years from now.

In America’s campaign system, big political donors are a little bit like the Wizard of Oz, the faceless characters pulling the levers behind the curtain to make sure their favored candidates and causes get the exposure and airtime they need to win.
Their clout’s gotten even bigger thanks to Supreme Court decisions lifting restrictions on how much money political groups can raise and spend and, this past April, how much money an individual can donate, in total, to political candidates and groups in a given election cycle.
Fortunately, the U.S. also has disclosure rules that help shine a little light on the donors behind the curtains, some of whom have familiar last names, but plenty of whom don’t. With an assist from federal campaign finance data compiled by nonprofit group Open Secrets, OZY takes a look at the Americans who have doled out the most cash in the 2014 elections thus far..
 1. TOM STEYER, HEDGE FUND MANAGER, SAN FRANCISCO: $20.5 MILLION
This billionaire finance whiz and environmentalist and his wife, Kathryn, are just getting started. The couple reportedly plans to spend $50 million or more helping to elect environmentally friendly Democrats in the 2014 election.

2. MICHAEL BLOOMBERG, FORMER MAYOR, NEW YORK: $9.5 MILLION

The country’s best known ex-mayor, political independent and gun-control advocate has taken stances in line with both Democrats and Republicans over the course of his career. But his donations so far in the 2014 cycle lean distinctly to the left, with 95 percent of his contributions going to Democratic candidates or causes.

3. FRED EYCHANER, CHAIRMAN OF NEWSWEB CORP., CHICAGO: $5.8 MILLION

The openly gay media mogul and longtime Democratic donor is known to be something of a recluse. But he has opened up recently about his coming out, his family and their collective fight for gay rights.

4. PAUL SINGER, FOUNDER OF ELLIOTT MANAGEMENT, NEW YORK: $5.1 MILLION

The hedge fund manager and billionaire has been active player in the Republican civil war, backing business-friendly candidates against more populist, anti-Wall Street Tea Party foes. He’s also an ardent supporter of Israel and a booster for some social policies, like gay rights and immigration reform, that are anathema to hard-core conservatives.
A supporter of GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney in 2012, most of his donations in the 2014 election cycle have been to political committees supporting the Republican establishment like Karl Rove’s American Crossroads and his own American Unity PAC, which supports pro-business, pro-gay marriage Republicans.

5. RICHARD UIHLEIN, CEO OF ULINE, LAKE FOREST, ILLINOIS: $4.3 MILLION

The founder and owner, along with wife Elizabeth, of a successful shipping supply business, Uihlein is also known to shun the limelight. Instead, the conservative Republican from the Chicago ’burbs is letting his political donations — to small-government, anti-tax campaigns, often aligned with the tea party — do most of the talking.
What, no Koch brothers among the top five political givers of 2013 to ’14? The two conservative brothers who run Koch Industries, a favorite punching bag of Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, are wayyy down Open Secrets’ list this cycle.
David and his wife, Julia, clock in with $382,000, ranking 90th. Charles doesn’t even crack the top 100.
But don’t count them out. Most of the money the Kochs give isn’t directly to candidates. Instead they give to nonprofit groups that don’t have to disclose donors but can still be active in some forms of political advocacy. If patterns of past elections hold, the Kochs will likely end up as the biggest political spenders in 2014.
