In Illinois USA a win for gay and straight kids

This is a win for gay and straight kids. Whomever else lost or won is not important. As reported by UPI.  'the Bishops' dropped their appeal that required them to license same-sex couples as foster parents. It’s been decades already in which same sex parents have been adopting kids. Now kids that don’t have a family to adopt them can be provided a loving environment in a stable home. What is wrong with that?

Eventually as science and common sense grows in peoples’ mind most of the old wifes’ tales and homophobia that kept kids as good old homophobe, many wives and Presidential wannabe, Newt Gingrich who once call them in a positive way I might add,  Orphanages.  For the record there are no orphanages. But here are institutions in charge of these kids. Many place in foster homes. The need for good homes is insatiable particularly in big states with poor populations. After all, kids that become orphan from parents with money do not need help from the state.
This is a good day for Illinois and all the kids without homes. adamfoxie*

SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Roman Catholic bishops in Illinois have decided to drop an appeal of a state law that requires them to license same-sex couples as foster parents.
Belleville Bishop Edward Braxton, Joliet Bishop Daniel Conlon of Joliet and Springfield Bishop Thomas Paprocki say Illinois' civil union law has effectively forced them to drop foster care services, the St. Louis (Missouri) Post-Dispatch reported. The dioceses could face discrimination charges if they do not allow couples in civil unions to serve as foster parents.
The courts are also to blame for refusing "to grant a stay for these operations to continue while further appeals are pending," the bishops said. As a result, their dioceses cannot afford to provide foster services while maintaining their religious principles, they said.
In a statement, the bishops said they decided to drop their legal action "with great regret."
