During the closing days of Florida's 2010 congressional session, Senators were fiercely debating a controversial bill that tells women and their doctors what to do with their bodies. Republican Sen. Mike Bennett of Bradenton was thinking about women's bodies all right. Unfortunately it was because he was caught looking at a pornographic image on his laptop while Democratic Sen. Dan Gelber of Miami Beach was debating against the bill.

"I'm against this measure because I simply think it disrespects too many women in the state of Florida," says Gelber. Meanwhile Bennett is busy looking at a picture of four young topless women for about four seconds before closing the image.

The Sunshine State News Service caught Bennett's inappropriate computer usage on film.

"I was just sitting there, bored as they were debating the abortion bill," Bennett told the news service. "I opened it up and said 'holy [expletive]! What's on my screen?' and clicked away from it right away."

Apparently important matters involving women's reproductive health and ability to make their own decisions are too boring for Bennett.

"He thought it was an email about an item being debated on the Senate floor. As soon as he realized it wasn't he closed the page," said Senate Spokesperson Jaryn Emhof.

Bennett also downloaded two videos while on the senate floor, one of which showed a dog shaking itself dry after running out of the water. Either Bennett has some weird fetishes or was just really, really bored with all this talk about ladies' rights and what not
