Gay Actor Russel Tovey Say His Best On Screen Kiss Was to ๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’‹in Plainclothes

Russell Tovey has revealed the co-star who gave him his most enjoyable on-screen kiss.

Soon to be seen alongside Tom Blyth in gay drama Plainclothes, Tovey was asked by a member of the audience on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to name his favourite on-stage or on-screen kiss.

“Beautiful, very soft lips,” Tovey said of Blyth, before host Cohen told the actor he could not choose his Plainclothes co-star.

“I quite enjoyed kissing Jonathan Groff in Looking,” Tovey responded. “We did lot of kissing and we had a very nice time on that. I’ve been very lucky, I’ve kissed a lot of attractive people [of] all genders.”

Looking, which ran for two seasons between 2014 and 2016, focused on the lives of gay men in San Francisco.

Tovey was also asked about being asked to sing “louder” by Madonna during a concert at Madison Square Garden, in New York. “It was mainly white noise,” he said. “I felt overwhelmed but it was wonderful I was very excited by it and everyone around me was very jealous. I got a lot of dirty looks.”

Plainclothes, which is due to open in the UK on 10 October, is set in New York in the mid-90s, and focuses on Lucas (Blyth), an undercover police officer assigned to entrap gay men in public toilets. However, when he meets Andrew (Tovey), a bond forms that leaves the cop torn between duty and desire.
