Cops Excluded from NYC Pride.
Some people say that in the past the Police have gone wayout and beyond of keeping it safe by arresting, hitting, dragging marchers. If the police thought a person was not supposed to be a marcher they will drag him/her out.
Which way is the right way to be?
The parade has it managers and safety monitors. They are the ones to get help from the police if there is any kind disorder in people marching twhen hey are be be expectations, which are not supposed to. That most be a new rule because in all parades Ive seen or marched on, people on the side walk wait for the parade to get by their groups and jump in.. And if they don’t have a group they jump at the end.. It’s gay pride for everyone. This is an issue in which the people in charge of the parade have received many complaints and seen many things from the cops and they had their mind made up. The cops like they usually go said without us is chaos and our job is to keep civil disobedience down and no drinking, no jumping, nog misbehaving. True both sides took a hard line but the cop should have known a little history of why there is a march, why it started and the cops gave those reason when they attacked the patrons of a certain bar in the west village. Many of the reason is the misbehaving ing cops so they should give a little. Still the people in charge of Pride should have come to an understanding and give them one more chance at the last day, so they know bad behavior won’t be tolerated from anyone.
