Blanket Jackson Changes Name

‘Many’ parents are selfish in naming their new born a name that means something to them but will not have the same meaning to the child but furthermore they don’t see ahead of the years of endurance and pain the child has to go thru in school and actually most of their young adult lives. These parents are just like Michael Jackson who gave his latest young a name like ”Blanket.” Now after years of bullying and then butt of jokes Blanket gives up and changes his name to Buckley(actually is BIGI…he goes to Jackson HS) I’m told. The other kids don’t have particularly fine names either: Blanket, along with his siblings Paris, 17, and Prince, 18, lives with his co-guardians, Katherine, 85, and cousin Tito, 36, in Calabasas, Calif. According to Radar Online, the youngest son of the legendary Michael Jackson, born Michael Jackson Jr., made the decision to change his name after suffering from years of bullying by his peers.
The 13-year-old, who was previously home-schooled, is just now completing the seventh grade at The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California. Sources claim that he resented his father for giving him the name “Blanket” and he wanted to finally put that name to rest.
“[Blanket] changed his name informally from Blanket to Bigi before entering Buckley because he hated getting bullied and made fun of because his name was Blanket,” a source close to Jackson told the website.
Radar Online shared Jackson’s current yearbook photo that shows the name “Bigi Jackson.” The name, from German origin, means idealistic, sensitive, and inspirational.
“He always thought that the name Blanket sounded so stupid and resented his father for calling him that,” the insider said. “Growing up, his school mates have always been slightly mean to him because of their jealousy over who he is and going by Blanket made him a much easier target for ridicule.”
“When he entered Buckley he told them that his name is Bigi and that is what they call him,” the source explained.
As a previous report by the Inquisitr explains, Bigi is very different than his older siblings Paris, 17, and Prince, 18.
“He is definitely the opposite of Paris and Prince and he is more on the quiet side. Michael would be proud of Blanket. He is really sweet, funny and helpful.”
“He volunteers to help the younger kids and he is really good with them. He probably got that from his dad,” the source added.
Bigi, Paris, and Prince have all lived under the co-conservatorship of their grandmother Katherine, 85, and their cousin T.J. Jackson since their father’s death in 2009.
