What is a Shut Down? It’s History Being Made by Idiots

  

 

The shutdown happened as predicted this morning at 12:01am. Actually this is the prelude to what would happen in two weeks unless the government opens up and that is a default of the government. They call this situation a partial shutdown because the system at this point is not set up to close it’s doors of most of the agencies. The agencies deemed to be integral to the protection of the American people will remain open, even though soldiers salaries and benefits will be withheld.  Today all the people working in every agency that was not deemed indispensable was sent home without pay. It’s a smart thing to notice Congress still is getting paid. The only thing that would put pressure on these people, if you can call them that is pressure from the American people as they get inconvenience. Most experts say they don’t see movement for now until more pressure mounts.

What happens in two weeks? Default.  The same thing that would happen to you if you were running on credit.  As long as the bank keeps loaning you money you can use that to pay on your debts. Once the banks stop lending this is what will happen in two weeks. No Money. Right now the purse is close in that time when the the government runs out of money there is default. No social security checks, pensions, etc. That has never happen and as you know if you stop paying your bills because you have no cash the banks come after you and they lower your rating which means no borrowing or borrowing at steep rates. Everyone that does buisiness with the government gets pay after words. Who is going to want to do buisiness with the government if they don’t know if they are going to get paid? Some people (nations) will, but they will charge for the risk. The government allows creditors to go after debtors but in this case is the National government the debtor with no cash because it locked the credit cards and wont use them.

One will ask why do this since this is fiscal self immolation? It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad and is the people that say that they want fiscal responsibility, the Republicans in Congress are the one doing this. They are not going to pay the bills. Why? 80 or so of the new seats in the lower house were elected in the platform of 'no government or less government (what ever that means).' They want guns, don’t like blacks, gays or the poor. They are called the Tea Party which is a rebellious bunch of people that think that they are not rich because the government steals from them or if they have money they are afraid they will be made to pay more taxes to give benefits to the poor and the lazy, etc and this will make them less rich. I guess they have a fear of being poor?

These 80 or so Republicans are dictating to the rest of the Republicans in the ‘House’ not give in.
Give in to what? Give in to the new law of Health care which is named by Republicans as Obama care. At the last minutes they also wanted to stop abortions. These items that they want eliminated are laws already passed and have been through the courts back and fourth and they are the law of the land. What they want is to pass new laws to defund these laws.  If you don’t have money to enforce any law then they are worthless because they are not going to be enforced.

We experienced this type of shutdown under president Clinton. Then, the republicans had a majority in both houses of the government and had a president they were going to impeach for having sex in the White House and they did impeached Clinton. The only thing is Clinton never gave in an inch. They had to back down and as you know the impeachment also boomerang on them. At least they had a majority in the government even though it was inexcusable then and is more inexcusable now. The Republicans have a very slim majority in the lower house. The Democrats have the Senate which has to agree with anything the house passes.
This is just a show and of coarse it hurts people because there thousands that wont get paid. It makes us look bad but compare with things other nations do, like Russia passing a stupid law against gays we are ok.  At least before we hurt anybody else we hurt our citizens first that way it makes us feels like is justified.

This is the justification of the idiot and that is what we have in the government, idiots. Idiots that at the time of Clinton used sex, like they don’t have sex and cheat on their wives. Today because we have a black president is given some people such poison blood to see a son of their slaves as the President of the Country. Eventually the decent people that elected him prevail but they have to get real pissed to do something. So now we wait for people to get pissed to make the Republicans stop the insanity. Just get some pop corn and watch the show with amazement. History being made as usual, by idiots.
