Canadian Straight Man Gets Beaten Twice for Being Gay
While incidents of beating of gay men are on the rise in many western countries, most of the time the victims are real homosexuals who unintentionally provoke hate by their soft mannerisms, feminine clothing or simply body language that proudly proclaims, "I am gay!”

However, in Vancouver, Canada, 25-year-old Kerry Tyler Street of Surrey was beaten twice even if he is a straight guy. He just happened to skateboard a little too close to a gay-hating gang in Guilford last week.
While passing by the 14600 block of 104th Avenue at a little bit past 3 pm, someone suddenly punched his face, hit his nose and jaw. Then he received a few kicks to the face, while the attacker was shouting, "faggot this, faggot that."
The attacker then casually walked away from his victim.
It was déjà vu for Mr Street who recalled an attack by three young men a few years ago while he was walking along Grosvenor Road on Whalley. For having hair that was blue, which his attackers probably thought was an indicator that Mr Street was gay, Mr Street suffered a broken nose and ribs, although the thugs had a machete and crossbar that they didn't use on him.
Before the thugs left, while Mr Street was bleeding, they held him down and pretended having sex with him,
Surrey Royal Canadian Mounted Police are searching for his latest attacker, described as a six-foot tall white man weighing more than 200 pounds and sporting short cropped light brown or dirty blond hair. Mr Street estimated the man is in his late 20s or early 30s and was attired in black Crooks and Castles jacket, sweater and black pants, plus had zits on the face.
The latest attack would require Mr Street to undergo restorative surgery to replace four front teeth, and the procedure would cost him $2,000 per tooth.
