Lance Armstrong 'Has NO PLACE In Cycling'
SHAMED cyclist Lance Armstrong has officially been stripped of his seven Tour de France titles.
The International Cycling Union (UCI) today confirmed they will scrub the Texan's name from the record books, following accusations of systematic doping by Armstrong and his US Postal Service team.
The organisation's action is in response to the publication of an explosive report by United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) which accused the 41-year-old of heading "the most sophisticated, professionalised and successful doping programme that sport has ever seen."
UCI president Pat McQuaid also announced that Armstrong is banned for life from cycling and that there is "no place for him" in the sport.
"I'm sorry we couldn't have caught every damn one of them [drugs cheats] at the time and thrown them out," he added.
