Gays in Belgrade March Indoors, Government Wont Allow Them Outside

ELGRADE, Serbia-Serbian gay rights activists have staged a brief protest and held an indoor gathering after a pride march was banned by police over far-right security threats.
Amid heavy police presence, about two dozen flag-waving activists briefly appeared Saturday outside an office building in central Belgrade for what they described as a "small, silent, non-violent and motionless protest."
The decision by Serbia's government to ban the pride event for the second year in a row has drawn criticism at home and abroad.
Human Rights Watch urged Serbia on Friday to revoke the decision and provide security for the marchers. The group says "basic human rights are being thrown overboard."

Police have said they feared a repeat of violence from 2010 when more than 100 people were injured. ( from AP)

They try to quiet us, to hide us by ignoring us and killing us. What they should be finding out once and for all is that is ‘futile'. In Belgrade thanks to the government own public opinion of gays with their statements of degradation and some of their laws, places those that are ignorant about us in a state of war against us. Like if we are coming to take something that belongs to them. But ignorance works that way.

The interesting part and what inspires me as I watch what goes on in Belgrade, is when they could not march outdoors to say "we are here”  they went inside to hold their march and if that didn’t work I would imagine that they will hold it underground or on air balloons or something.  The LGTB people of Belgrade cannot stop. They can’t stop specially in this place in time. As events in the world show the LGTB around the world is getting their civil rights and in other places even the right to love another through marriage. Belgrade can not stay in the dark with their population hiding in the closet.

The Gay People of Belgrade will never stop. Ignorance does not last for ever. If what you want deserves a fight, then fight we most with all the rights that we still have as citizens of any country; With our computers, with our numbers.
