Right-wing influencer Laura Loomer, whose influence on President Trump is reportedly growing, alleged that Republican U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham is gay in a deposition given as part of an ongoing defamation lawsuit against Bill Maher and HBO.
“Several of President Trump’s staff have told me in confidence that Lindsey Graham is gay,” Loomer said, unprompted during the deposition, according to the Daily Beast.
“Hold on, Ms. Loomer, there’s no question,” Maher’s attorney replied.
“I know. I’m just explaining,” Loomer responded.
After news of the deposition hit the internet, Loomer responded on social media that what she said about Graham was true because she didn’t want to perjure herself.
“I was asked about Lindsey during my deposition so I had to tell the truth,” Loomer said on X. “I was under oath.”

Prior to Loomer’s testimony on his sexuality, Graham called Loomer “toxic” in an interview with HuffPost in September 2024, as scrutiny around Loomer’s role in Trump’s reelection campaign was intensifying.
Loomer’s deposition is tied to her ongoing case against Bill Maher. Loomer sued Maher in 2024 for suggesting she had committed adultery with Donald Trump on air.

Trump said he was “about 98% involved” in the selection of this year’s honorees.
“I think maybe Laura Loomer is in an arranged relationship to affect the election because she’s very close to Trump,” Maher said in September 2024 on HBO’s Real Time. “She’s 31, looks like his type. We did an editorial here a few years ago … it was basically, who’s Trump f***ing? Because, I said, you know, it’s not nobody. He’s been a dog for too long, and it’s not Melania. I think we may have our answer this week. I think it might be Laura Loomer.”
Loomer has appointed herself as Trump’s “loyalty enforcer,” per The New Republic. On Wednesday, TNR suggested that Loomer may next be looking to oust Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, who recently cut funding for mRNA research just as a promising HIV vaccine using the technology showed promise in humans.
Graham was not the only one catching strays in her deposition testimony. Loomer also took aim at U.S. representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, who she said “carries roast beef in her pockets,” per TNR.
“I know she likes to eat at Arby’s,” Loomer added. When asked about whether she was trying to comment on Greene’s body or her sex life, Loomer said, “No. I’m talking about Arby’s, the sandwiches. I’m talking about Arby’s. I would — I’m a very direct person.”
