He died of cancer and the last photo I saw of Him before he died you could tell he was not longer the skinny wimpy boy of the series or the sexy dressed at 16 Years Old teenager. He did spent his childhood years doing Television. Later on we did not see much of him but nobody would have recognized him since his skinny frame had changed. He was older than Iam and has a kid I did not liked him much, found the series a little silly because you could tell what was going to happened, But there was also competition to watch our TV. among siblings and dad.  Adam 

Beloved former child star Jay North, best known as Dennis Mitchell in the original Dennis the Menace television show (CBS, 1959-1963), died on Sunday, April 6, 2025. According to his dear friend, journalist/TV producer Laurie Jacobson, North passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was 73 years old.

A Closer Look- History

Laurie Jacobson, married to former child star Jon Provost, of TV original Lassie fame, relayed, “Our dear friend Jay North has been fighting cancer for [several] years, and this morning at noon EST, Jay passed peacefully at home.”

“As many of his fans know," Jacobson continued, "...he had a difficult journey in Hollywood and after…but he did not let it define his life. He had a heart as big as a mountain [and] loved his friends deeply. He called us frequently and ended every conversation with ‘I love you with all my heart."

"And we loved him with all of ours," Jacobson concluded. "A lifelong friend of Jon’s, a brother to Jeanne, and a dear friend to me, we will miss him terribly. He is out of pain now. His suffering is over. At last, he is at peace.”
