Millionaire PayPal founder Elon Musk is divorcing British actress Talulah Riley.
The couple, who had been married for one year, had been separated for six months before they decided to get divorced.
On Wednesday, 40-year-old Musk, who also founded Tesla and SpaceX wrote on his Twitter account: '@rileytalulah It was an amazing four years. I will love you forever. You will make someone very happy one day.'
In a telephone interview with Forbes, he praised the 26-year-old Pride & Prejudice star for being 'a great woman'.
But he said he had simply fallen out of love her.
He revealed that Riley had been living away from their home in Bel Air for nearly six months.
'We took some time apart for several months to see if absence makes the heart grow fonder, and unfortunately it did not,' Musk told Forbes.
'I still love her, but I’m not in love with her. And I can’t really give her what she wants.'

Despite the split, Musk said the pair will “always be friends' but said it’s was too difficult to stay married; 'Every day was just too difficult.'

It is not clear if the pair had a prenuptial agreement.
Musk made a personal fortune by selling two Internet businesses in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
He founded the first company, Zip2, in 1995 when he was 24, right after dropping out of Stanford University's physics graduate program because he thought the Internet held more promise than physics.

Musk called Riley the 'polar opposite' of his first wife who had blogged extensively about the acrimonious terms of their divorce.
However, he added that he would still like to have a meaningful relationship with someone in the future, in the interview with Forbes.
Riley could not be reached for comment according to Forbes and, at the this time, had apparently not responded to the tweet.
