When police shoot

By Steve Kastenbaum, CNN
(CNN) – In a flash, a gunman was killed on a busy sidewalk outside the Empire State Building. During the course of last week's shooting, nine innocent bystanders were wounded by two police officers.
When police make the decision to shoot someone, extensive training is supposed to kick in like muscle memory. After an incident like this though, police are often criticized as being too anxious to reach for their guns.
John Jay College of Criminal Justice professor, Eugene O’Donnell, says their actions are often questioned. In this case he says:
[1:15] “There’s no safe way to have a shooting on 34th Street and 5th Avenue because no matter how well trained police are, armed confrontations are always risky, always dangerous.”
So it was shoot or potentially be shot. Still, there are  rules to abide by.
Former New York City police sergeant, John Negus, says with a shooting there is a lot to think about in a very small amount of time:
[3:34] “You’re always taught if you’re going to take your gun out, what are the circumstances, what’s the justification, can you get involved, what are you going to do? But when somebody pulls out a gun, it’s self-preservation. What happens is you have a physiological reaction. You’re probably going to get an adrenalin dump. So you are a little bit panicky. And they always tell you try to get off the X, try to move for cover.”
New York’s mayor and police commissioner say it was a justified use of deadly force. Ultimately, a Manhattan grand jury will make that determination

Full Moon } Underneath Humans Kill Each Other for No Reason} Is there Something to change that?

If you are offended about God and religion you might want to skip the next section(bold letters). Nothing bad is said, but common sense questions are asked and those questions do bother some people. The purpose of this web magazine is to offend no one That is impossible, so I would say to offend as little as possible. But the events as they happen need to be publish by everyone. You will judge the truth of any comment, because the reader is always the final editor.
I come from a family of 12. If you come from any family of more than one, didin’t your parents keep you from killing each other?? The article below is neutral, with emphasis of the different places where the full moon hits around the world. Nut as I watch scene I got ask….why brothers and sisters like in Ireland and the USA killed each other in civil wars. Is politics more important than blood and friendships? As we watched the convention of one of the two political parties in the USA we found some important speaker like the ex scretary of state announcing a new war against I ran because they are going nuclear like India, Pakistan, Israel, USA, China, Russia, UKingdom and acouple others like Egypt that dont declare and the uSA keeps quiet about????? The point is if we have a father, when does he stops us from killing each other?  How many billions should it come down too???? This question has nothing to do with religion but with common sense and morality. When does a good parent stops it.
‘Once in a blue moon’ might not be so rare – or blue, for that matter. But two full moons in one month is nothing to scoff at, even if the event’s somewhat misleading title leaves many wondering if their eyes can see color properly.
That’s right: While many people awaiting nightfall on Friday may have been expecting the moon to look like a great big blueberry in the sky, the phrase ‘blue moon’ actually refers to the occurrence of an extra full moon in a calendar cycle, though it has popularly come to signify two full moons happening in the same month.
Since the average lunar cycle is around 29 days long, while the average month is around 30, the two cycles slowly fall out of sync until a blue moon occurs.
The term first entered the popular lexicon in 1946, when an amateur stargazer named James Hugh Pruett wrote for ‘Sky and Telescope’ magazine about two full moons occurring in August 1937. He referred to the seemingly rare phenomenon as happening only “once in a blue moon.”
Ironically, Pruett was poetically right, but factually askew. As it turned out, 1937 only had 12 full moons, and the full moon in question – which actually fell on August 21 – was not the second full moon for that month.
But the phrase stuck, even though it takes place every 2.7 years or so, making actual blue moons far more common than figurative ones. The next one is expected to take place on July 2015.

One special part of last night’s blue moon was that it served as a fitting moment to pay tribute to the first man who ever walked on it: Neil Armstrong, who died last week, was laid to rest on Friday. His family hoped that America’s most famous space cowboy would be remembered by all those who looked up in wonder as day turned to night.
“When people see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink," the family said in a statement released after his death.
However one chose to spend Friday’s lunar event, one thing is for certain: The giant leap Armstrong took for mankind in 1969 is the type of achievement that indeed only happens once in a blue moon.

Born Again Seal } Wish Heidi Have Waited to 'Fornicate with the Help'

Recent photos of the vacationing Heidi Klum beingcozy in Sardinia with her bodyguard of four years, Martin Kristen, have obviously been seen far and wide.

Among the observers: her estranged husband Seal, from whom she split in January after the two were married for seven years. She filed for divorce in April.

"That's what happens when two people separate, they move on and generally meet other people in their lives," Seal, 49, told TMZ as he arrived at Los Angeles International Airport.

"I certainly don't expect Heidi to all of a sudden become a nun. But as always my main priority is the emotional well-being of my children, and to be quite honest if there is going to be someone else there in their lives there, I would much rather it was a familiar face," the singer said.

Also on the Sardinian vacation with the Project Runway host, 39, were her parents and her children: Leni, 8, Henry, 6½, Johan, 5½, and Lou, 2½.

Added Seal: "That's the only thing I would have preferred. Whilst I didn't expect anything better from him [the bodyguard], I would of thought that Heidi would have shown a little more class and at least waited until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help, as it were."

As for what might have caused the end of their marriage, he said, "I guess you all now have the answer you have been looking for for the last seven months."

Saturday morning, Klum was seen having breakfast in Beverly Hills. She has not commented on any relationship.

NY Medical Examiner: Chris Lightly Shooting Himself Was Suicide

Chris Lighty
Why Did Chris Lighty Shoot Himself, Hip-hop mogul Chris Lighty killed himself Thursday after a heated argument with his estranged wife in the Bronx, police sources told the Daily News. Lighty – a longtime manager who worked with the likes of 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Diddy, Ja Rule and Mariah Carey – walked away from the argument after declaring “I’m tired of this,” before shooting himself in the head behind his South Riverdale home about 11:30 a.m., the sources said.
Cops found Lighty, 44, the founder and chief of Violator Management, lying faceup on the basement patio in a pool of blood with a 9-mm. pistol at his side, the sources said.
The shocking suicide followed a wild spat between Lighty and his 36-year-old wife, Veronica, who filed for divorce last year.
Moving trucks were at the home, as the veteran music manager prepared to move out of the three-story townhouse, sources said.
Law enforcement sources said Lighty’s wife of seven years told police he was facing financial woes that include a $5 million debt to the IRS. However, The Associated Press reported that Lighty paid off most of what he owed by selling a Manhattan apartment for $5.6 million in October.

Chris Lighty, shown here with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in 2006, was found dead outside his Bronx apartment Thursday.
Lighty still owed more than $330,000 in state and federal taxes, the AP reported. And in April, he was sued by City National Bank for not paying them after he had overdrawn his account by $53,584.
His 17-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son were in the W. 232nd St. home and left when the argument erupted. They were in a park nearby when Lighty, H who has three other children, stepped outside and pulled the trigger, sources said.
“It’s just devastating,” said Dan Charnas, author of “The Big Payback: The History of the Business of Hip-Hop” who featured Lighty in the final chapters of his book. “He was the personification of hip hop’s growth into the world.”
Charnas recalled how the kid from the Bronx River Houses evolved into a successful businessman.

“He wasn’t on the straight and narrow, but because the people around him were, they helped him transform his life,” the writer said.
Charnas added that Lighty, “learned to restrain whatever demons he had. Maybe in the end his circumstances weakened his restraints.”
Lighty – who was reportedly worth an estimated $30 million – helped launch the careers of several artists, including brokering a multimillion-dollar deal for 50 Cent.
Lighty pushed the Queens rapper to sign a deal with Glaceau Energy Brands when they unveiled their new product, Vitamin Water, in 2004.

The “In Da Club” rapper joined the campaign team, appearing in several ads for about three years.
When Coca-Cola bought Glaceau for $4.1 billion, 50 Cent cashed out his 10% stake in the company – which reportedly earned the rapper between $60 million and $100 million.
Rumors swirled that the pair had a falling out, but Lighty took to his blog to clear the air.
In his final blog post on his website, ChrisLighty.com, he wrote that he was “BUSY TRYING TO STAY AHEAD OF THE RAT RACE WE CALL HIP HOP.”
Lighty said allegations that he and his brother were attacked by a member of 50 Cent’s crew were simply ridiculous.
The June 23, 2010 post, titled “chaos and mayhem . . . hip hop,” continued with an eerie message, apparently aimed at twisted stories involving his clients.

“YOU HAVE SEEN THE SENSELESS LOSSES THAT WE HAVE HAD IN HIP HOP … THE CHAOS AND MAYHEM WILL DESTROY HIP HOP.”
Lighty, who was born Darrel Lighty, was raised with five siblings by a single mother in the projects. He had his big break in the late 1980s, when Russell Simmons offered him a gig to work for his management company.
His career quickly catapulted after Lighty founded Violator Management, which merged last year with Primary Wave Talent Management to create Primary Violator.
In 2008, he was named one of Crain’s 40 under 40.
“When you’re growing up in the Reagan era, you really learn the value of a food stamp – and you never want to go back there,” he told Crain’s.
“On the entrepreneurial side, this is one of the biggest losses in hip hop,” said Datwon Thomas, executive editor of Vibe magazine.

Lighty had one arrest on his record, a pinch for weapons possession, a law enforcement source said.
As news of his sudden death spread Thursday, some of the industry’s brightest stars took to Twitter to share their condolences.
“In shock,” tweeted Sean (Diddy) Combs. “R.I.P. Chris Lighty.”
“Rest peacefully Chris Lighty, my prayers go out to family and loved ones! Dear God please have mercy,” tweeted songstress Rihanna.

“R.I.P. CHRIS LIGHTY THE MAN THAT SAVED MY LIFE,” Bronx rapper Fat Joe posted on Twitter. “I Would Be Nothing Without YOU!!! My Kids Appreciate YOU God Bless Chris Lighty.”
Nick Cannon posted: “I’m devastated right now. I can’t believe my big brother Chris Lighty is gone . . . He was a pioneer, a mentor, and a great friend.”
Outside Lighty’s home, some stars showed up to help finish removing boxes Lighty was packing to take away from the house.

Deejay Funkmaster Flex and rapper Busta Rhymes were seen outside helping load two UHaul trucks parked on the street.
“I am utterly, utterly devastated,” said hip-hop activist Harry Allen. “It feels unfair to us. He was our wealth. Chris was like the fruition of all that could be. He was loved.”

Facebook Eradicate “Likes” if Their Automated System says They Should

Facebook ramped up efforts Friday to get rid of “Likes” that aren’t from people genuinely interested in giving a virtual thumbs up to pages at the world’s leading social network.
“We have recently increased our automated efforts to remove Likes on pages that may have been gained by means that violate our Facebook terms” of service, the Facebook security team said in a blog post.
Facebook Like icon via AFPFacebook has long given members the ability to endorse pages at the social network by clicking on “Like” icons.
“These newly improved automated efforts will remove those Likes gained by malware, compromised accounts, deceived users or purchased bulk Likes.”
High numbers of Likes can give “fan count” status to pages, particularly those dedicated to brands.
“A Like that doesn’t come from someone truly interested in connecting with a page benefits no one,” Facebook said.
“This improvement will allow pages to produce ever more relevant and interesting content, and brands will see an increase in the true engagement around their content.”
Facebook expected that less than one percent of the fan count on any given page would be trimmed as a result of the crackdown on “suspicious Likes.”

By the way this blogger got a mess at FB saying he could not send messages for 14 days and 4 hrs.?? Im still messaging friends but that particular Mess did not go thru. I did Make a big deal with them in writing from human being to their computer, but with FB unless is the government looking for your information, which they give and have given, no body has cloud over there. Particularly now as a public entity. Public means things are done and decided but there is no body to assign responsibility. What have we created with these people? LOL! There are members that have said something about sex(gay), the church and politics and someone did not like it, so they complaint that they are being abused or bullied by the speech. Bingo, you get a reprimand and may be a blockage for x days and 4 hours, don’t forget the four hours..that could destroy the system if you go back to messaging in 3 hours 59 minutes. No explanation of what you said, so you could defend your self or who accused of it.  People use the system put in place to correct all the bad things FB have done, from giving a forum to skin heads, to gay haters, bullying by ex lovers or picking up kids for porno and sex. Now the Foxes are guarding the chickens and using the system to bully and shut speech they don’t like.

True Fact to be Read Only When you Are Drunk or High on Pot

Meet your face mites!

"Everything you never wanted to know about the mites that eat, crawl, and have sex on your face". How can you say, "No", to that headline?
Ed Yong has a great post up today at Not Exactly Rocket Science about Demodex folliculorum and Demodex brevis, two species of mites which spend their entire lives on human skin. Humans aren't born with these mites. But by the time you are 40 years old, it's almost guaranteed that you are playing host to a few of them.
The bad news: They are having sex on your face.
Their favourite hook-up spots are the rims of your hair follicles. After sex, the female buries into the follicle (if it’s D.folliculorum), or into a nearby sebaceous gland (if it’s D.brevis). Half a day later, she lays her eggs. Two and a half days later, they hatch. The young mites take six days to reach adulthood, and they live for around five more. Their entire lives play out over the course of two weeks.
The good news: They don't poop—in fact, they don't even have an anus.
The bad news again: All that waste just builds up in their bodies. Demodex are, by nature, chronically constipated. Only after they die, and their bodies disintegrate, do they finally get to let it all go. All over your face.

Kris Humphries Sued For Passing Herpes

0829_kris_humphries_doc_launchKris Humphries has just been sued by a woman who claims he gave her herpes ... TMZ has learned.

Kayla Goldberg claims she met Kris in August, 2010 at the Newsroom Cafe on Robertson Blvd in L.A. -- long before Kris met Kim Kardashian. The two flirted, exchanged numbers, and Kayla claims that night they met up at Trousdale nightclub on the Sunset Strip.

According to the suit, Kris came on to Kayla, touching, kissing and dancing with her. Kayla claims he took her to his hotel and they had sex multiple times ... including oral sex. The suit claims during a portion of the sexual encounter Kris did not wear a condom.

The lawsuit claims Kris did not inform Kayla he had herpes -- and she claims in the suit that he did indeed have the disease.

Kayla says a week later she was diagnosed with herpes. Her symptoms included a sore throat, fever, body aches and immobilizing pain, as well as extreme vaginal irritation and painful lesions on her genitalia.

She's suing for sexual battery claiming Kris knew he had herpes when they hooked up and didn't tell her.

Kayla -- who put her full name in the lawsuit -- is suing for unspecified damages.

Kris for comment ... so far no response.

5 Weeks After Sherman Hemsley(George.Jeffersons) Died He Still Refrigerated

 Sherman Hemsley

Morgue Refrigerators product pictureThe body of Sherman Hemsley, who played the cantankerous George Jefferson on television, has been refrigerated at an El Paso funeral home due to a family dispute over his will, KVIA-TV reported.

El Paso Probate Court ordered Hemsley's body kept in a freezer at the San Jose Funeral Home after his purported brother, Richard Thornton, of Philadelphia, contested his will. Thornton is requesting his possessions and remains.
Hemsley signed a will in June, listing Flora Enchinton of El Paso, as executrix of his estate and sole heir to all of his holdings. Hemsley referred to her as his "beloved partner" in the will.
"It is disgraceful," Enchinton told KVIA. "It is sad. This was a man with dignity."
Enchinton said she knew Hemsley for 20 years and lived with him for more than a decade in El Paso. She said she was Hemsley's manager, partner and best friend.
"Sherman left very worried about me, about me staying alone, what was going to happen me being alone if he was gone," she told KVIA, an ABC affiliate. "That's what worried him the most. I guess maybe he sensed what was going to happen. It just gives me these emotions and feelings (that) all of a sudden there's these people that have never known anything about our life, about who we are, about what we're all about, about what we endured."
Enchinton said: "I have never heard of anyone with the name of Richard Thornton in the 20 years I have known Sherman. This is not what Sherman would have wanted."
No biographical information exists stating that Hemsley had a brother; he is listed as an only child, KVIA reported.
An accomplished theater actor, Hemsley rose to fame in the role of dry cleaning magnate George Jefferson, first on "All in the Family" in 1973. He reprised the role two years later in "The Jeffersons," a spinoff series that ran for 10 seasons.

Hemsley died of lung cancer July 24 at the age of 74.
According to the AP, Hemsley signed a will six weeks before his death naming Flora Enchinton -- described as Hemsley's "beloved partner" -- as his sole beneficiary. However, the will is now being contested by Richard Thornton,  a Philadelphia man who claims to be the late actor's brother and questions the validity of the will.

As Time Passes Between The Chair and Clint, There is Trouble Brewing

LOS ANGELES - (AP) -- Clint Eastwood earned plenty of bad reviews for his latest performance: a bizarre, rambling endorsement of Mitt Romney.
"Clint, my hero, is coming across as sad and pathetic," tweeted film critic Roger Ebert as Eastwood ad-libbed Thursday night to an audience of millions -- and one empty chair -- on stage at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Fla. "He didn't need to do this to himself. It's unworthy of him."
Eastwood carried on a kooky, long-winded conversation with an imaginary President Barack Obama, telling him that he failed to deliver on his promises, and it's time for Romney and his running mate, Paul Ryan, to take over.
"Mr. President, how do you handle promises that you have made when you were running for election, and how do you handle them? I mean, what do you say to people?" he said at one point to the empty chair.
Twitter was instantly ablaze with comments mocking the Oscar-winning director of "Unforgiven" and "Million Dollar Baby."
"Clint has now eclipsed the total word count of his last three films," tweeted film critic Richard Roeper during the speech, which was intended to last five minutes but went on for nearly 12.
Howard Kurtz, host of CNN's "Reliable Sources," said "Clint's empty chair act" was the "weirdest convention moment I have ever seen." Joe Scarborough, the conservative host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," declared that "a great night for Mitt Romney just got sidetracked by Clint Eastwood."
Minutes after Eastwood began his speech, someone created an (at)InvisibleObama account on Twitter. It has already amassed 30,000 followers and counting.
"I heard that Clint Eastwood was channeling me at the RNC," tweeted comic actor Bob Newhart, known for his one-sided conversation bits. "My lawyers and I are drafting our lawsuit."
The 82-year-old actor and director also talked about Oprah Winfrey, Obama's unfulfilled promise to close the U.S. prison at Guantanamo, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and lawyers. At one point, he referenced dismissing Obama and making a change.
"When somebody doesn't do the job, you gotta let 'em go," Eastwood said. The tough-guy actor of "Dirty Harry" fame then drew a finger across his throat.
The Obama campaign shot back afterward by tweeting a photo of the back of the president's chair, with Obama's head peeking over it, along with the line: "This seat's taken."
Romney's wife, Ann, said she appreciates Eastwood's support, even if the actor's monologue isn't earning rave reviews. Ann Romney said she did not know what to expect when Eastwood came on as a warm up act for the evening's speakers.
"He's a unique guy and he did a unique thing last night," she told "CBS This Morning."
Eastwood, a fiscal conservative who takes left-leaning stands on social issues such as gay marriage and environmental protections, made waves with conservatives earlier this year when he starred in a Super Bowl spot for Chrysler, a company that benefited from government support. Eastwood, who endorsed Romney earlier this month at a campaign event in Sun Valley, Idaho, and once served as mayor of Carmel, Calif., defended his appearance in the commercial, noting it had nothing to do with his politics.
Inside the convention, the crowd cheered Eastwood's entrance and shouted his famed catchphrase, "Go ahead, make my day." But backstage, stern-faced Romney aides winced at times as Eastwood's remarks stretched on. After his speech, Romney's camp defended Eastwood.
"He's an American icon," Romney spokeswoman Gail Gitcho told CNN's Piers Morgan. "You can't look at him at through the same political lens that you would other politicians. He's Clint Eastwood."
There was seemingly more discussion Thursday night on Twitter about Eastwood's awkward performance than Romney's actual acceptance speech.
"Is this a segment for 'Mrs. Eastwood and Company'?" asked "Star Trek" actor Zachary Quinto on Twitter, referencing the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians"-like E! reality series starring Eastwood's wife, Dina.
Several celebrities and comedians lightheartedly hypothesized on the micro-blogging site how Democrats could top the over-the-top routine at their own convention in Charlotte, N.C., next week.
"To restore balance to the universe, Obama must have Tommy Chong onstage at the DNC talking to a steak," joked Patton Oswalt.
Original "Star Trek" actor George Takei said he was "drafting a DNC speech to (an) imaginary Romney in an empty factory."
"Saturday Night Live" cast member Seth Myers had an entirely different idea: "(Vice President Joe) Biden has to go shirtless for DNC to top it."
For Hollywood veteran Eastwood, his chance to rebound likely comes Sept. 21 in more familiar territory. That's when his next film, the baseball drama "Trouble With the Curve," opens.
