Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio put out a press release to say deputies found a lot of weed last night --Steven Seagal not included this time.

In fact, the press release says deputies have "arrested more than 20 illegal aliens and seized nearly two tons of marijuana" in the last month.

Arpaio even declares "[d]rug trafficking is increasing involving illegal aliens," and says he's prepping for a "drug and illegal alien crime suppression operation."

Meanwhile, not a single one of the zero people arrested in connection with the truck full of weed is an illegal immigrant.

That doesn't mean the marijuana-mobile driver's weren't illegal -- it's not exactly anillegals-started-the-wildfire statement -- but it appears to be a pretty casual connection here.

When asked about the sheriff's quote, MCSO spokesman Jeff Sprong tells New Times the majority of people arrested for transporting drugs in that area are also in the country illegally.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies spotted tire tracks were seen in this "well known smuggling area" in Mobile, and after finding the truck sitting under a tree by its lonesome about 10 miles later, deputies are suspecting "they were tipped off by drug spotters" and ran away. http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com

Inside the truck: 2,094.5 pounds of marijuana.

Illegal immigrants, alleged illegal immigrants, or no illegal immigrants, here's what a truck carrying 2,000-plus pounds of weed looks like:

Ice, Child Pornography and a Man Name Adam

Im going to share a story with you, that as far I know is has gain no traction in the court of public opinion. What I think is not important.  what you read and see that happens to be accurate should at least get you to think if we are doing things legally and while we pass lws every day. So Much so, we have people called ‘Law Makerss’.  What do you think they do, at least part of their day?  Pass laws!
With that in mind I caution the reader that an institution (government, etc) that lies to us lots of time, should get a constant review from those govern.
Yesterday I found out that Finger print match, bite match are NOT science but forensic tools that will help a good  lawyer or competent prosecutor destroy a life or let a criminal free.     AF*.

Ice, Child Pornography and a man Name Adam
Around two years ago, six ICE agents entered the home of a 20-year-old man named Adam while he was sleeping. They put a gun to his head and informed him they had a warrant to search his premises for childpornography.
Adam is a musician and was a frequent user of the peer-to-peer file-sharing website Limewire, which he used to download and share music videos.  The search of his computer hard drive yielded 2,331 videos, most of which were music and a small portion of which were adult porn. Two suspect child porn videos featuring girls aged 16-17, and another video apparently featuring a three year-old, had been downloaded and deleted.
Adam claims that the downloads were accidental, and that although he occasionally indulged in adult porn (like many men his age), he has no interest in child pornography (CP), never sought it out and deleted the downloaded items as soon as he realized what they were. The fact that the forensic evidence showed that the items were never viewed and that there was no record of any keyword searches that would indicate he was looking for CP would seem to back up that claim.
But it didn't matter: Adam was charged with possession of child pornography, and was warned by the prosecutor that if he did not plead guilty, the charge would be upgraded to distribution (as a file-sharing site, Limewire is an automatic distribution tool), so he would then be looking at 15-25 years in a federal penitentiary. Seeing no way out, he took a guilty plea, was sentenced to 30 months in prison, 15 years of probation and a lifetime on the sex offender registry.
As a native of the state of Florida, when Adam is eventually released from prison, he will be subjected to among the most severe registration rules in the country. He will be required to register every time he moves. Failure to register or violation of any of the terms of his probation (attending a family function where children are present, for example, or visiting a friend who has a child) will result in an automatic return to prison for an indefinite period. His voting rights may never be restored. His chances of finding meaningful work, or any kind of work, are slim at best. And it will be next to impossible for him to find a decent place to live.
Residency laws for sex offenders are so restrictive that in many jurisdictions, they cannot live within 2,500 feet of any church, school, daycare center, playground or bus stop. These restrictions have effectively eliminated any eligible housing for sex offenders in many urban areas and, as evidenced in this documentary, have forced hundreds of men to live like lepers in tent dwellings in the Florida swamps, with no running water or electricity.
Sex offender registries date back to the 1940s but they did not become mandatory in all states until the 1990s, when Congress began passing a series of laws such as the Jacob Wetterling Act (1994), Megan's Law (1996) and the Adam Walsh Act (2006) – all named for children who had been abducted, molested or killed. The registry was intended to prevent other children from falling victim to a similar fate, a desire shared by everyone. But the laws have so drastically expanded what qualifies as a sex offense, there are now over 700,000 Americans on the registry (pdf), many of whom have never harmed a child and are unlikely to ever harm a child, rendering it a self-defeating tool.
In some states, for instance, public urination is enough to get you on the registry, as is mooning, streaking, flashing or visiting a prostitute. A 19-year-old boy who has consensual sex with his 15-year-old girlfriend can be charged with statutory rape; a teenage girl who posts naked pictures of herself on any kind of file-sharing site can be charged as a distributor of child pornography. Anyone who accesses the wrong kind of porn, accidentally or otherwise, as Adam did, will also be branded with the sex offender label. In at least 17 states, that label is for life.
None of these categories of offenders is likely to harm a child. Studies have found that only 1% of men convicted of viewing child pornography have gone on to commit a hands-on sex offense, yet they are among the most severely punished group of offenders.
The money, time, effort and manpower required to keep such broad categories of offenders (and so-called offenders) under surveillance is money, time, effort and manpower that is being diverted from monitoring those who pose a genuine threat. The argument, of course, is that when it comes to protecting children, you cannot take any chances. But there are sophisticated risk assessment tools available, and in use, that are far more effective means of identifying danger than making hundreds of thousands of people's lives unliveable.
It's easier, though, and politically more palatable, to declare zero tolerance for sex offenders and to keep passing laws that look good on the books. Never mind if they are actually counter-productive when it comes to actually keeping children safe.

Nurse Jackie, Don’t Go!!..I need MINE Pills

Nurse JackieMy heart is broken one more time. Just as fall in love with a series and it goes out just when is become a big success and out it they go. Yet there stupid series that had their day decades ago and they are they are still looking at me in face.
After four seasons Nurse Jackie showrunners, creators and executive producers Linda Wallem (pictured left) and Liz Brixius (right) are stepping down from Showtime’s darkly funny Edie Falco starrer about a prescription-drug addicted New York nurse, according to Deadline.
Wallem and Brixius -- out lesbians who were once a couple--cite traveling between their homes in Los Angeles to New York, where the show is shot, as part of the reasoning behind moving on from the critically-acclaimed show, reports Deadline.
A TV veteran Wallem was a writer on Cybill, executive producer on That ‘70s Show and a co-executive producer on Lisa Kudrow’s short-lived critical darling The Comeback. These days Wallem is also busy being Melissa Etheridge’s partner, and therefore a mom to four step-kids. She tells Deadline she’d like to spend more time with the kids.
“This has been the best job of my life, but the travel, having to spend six months (in LA) and six months (in NY) and be away from home, took a toll on me,” Wallem says.  “I have four stepkids, and I would miss all of the family stuff.”
A Third of the way into its fourth season Nurse Jackie’s ratings are holding high, which means their could be a 5thseason. Showtime is looking to bring on a new showrunner to work with star and executive producer Falco, reports Deadline.
With Nurse Jackie’s fourth season wrapped Wallem is looking for TV jobs closer to home while “doing carpooling and making lunches” for her stepkids, she tells Deadline.

The Electro Cigarette } Is This Healthy For You??

The use of electronic cigarettes have recently grabbed the attention of countless tobacco users worldwide. Are they really a healthier and cheaper alternative to traditional cigarettes? Creators and product users claim you can enjoy a cheaper, healthier cigarette without the bad smells, second-hand smoke, or cancer causing chemicals. With these huge claims, we decided to investigate the electronic cigarette for our readers.

A few of the benefits claimed from using the electronic cigarette:

No tar, tobacco, carbon monoxide, or ash.
Get the same amount of nicotine as a regular cigarette.
Each cartridge costs less than $2, and is equivalent to an entire pack of cigarettes.
The average consumer can expect to save over $1,000 each year
You won’t “smell” like a smoker any longer.
Different flavors are available.
No more second-hand smoke.
We first researched exactly what expert medical doctors and product users had to say about electronic cigarettes, and the results were surprising. In fact, a study by researchers at the Boston University School of Public Health in 2010 concluded that electronic cigarettes were safer than real cigarettes and may aid in breaking the habit of smoking. "Electronic cigarettes were found to be "much safer" than traditional tobacco ones, and had a level of toxicity similar to existing nicotine replacements". In the report, the level of carcinogens in electronic cigarettes was found to be up to 1,000 times lower than regular cigarettes. It also said early evidence shows that electronic cigarettes may help people to stop smoking by simulating a tobacco cigarette

Doctors have even suggested that while utilizing the electronic cigarette, there is virtually no risk of getting cancer. These conclusions come from studies which show that nicotine is about as equally harmful to your health as caffeine. These studies also show that the real harm in traditional cigarettes comes from the tobacco smoke and the hundreds of additional added chemicals.

Four very well known doctors, from the popular TV show “The Doctors”, have also studied the electronic cigarette and was featured as one of their top 10 key health trends for 2010.

“The Electronic Cigarette gives you nicotine, but it doesn't give you any of the other 4,000 chemicals from a cigarette that can cause cancer, among other problems..” - Dr. Travis Stork from “The Doctors”

We also learned that the electronic cigarette is not encompassed by most smoking bans and regulations. With the lack of second-hand smoke, smokers are excited to find that many businesses, bars, and even air planes allow them to smoke e-cigarettes indoors. Many electronic cigarette users have also received special permission from their employers to smoke e-cigarettes in the work place.

In the United States alone, over 700,000 smokers have already switched to electronic cigarettes. Beverly, a smoker of 15 years was interviewed , one of the many whose life has dramatically changed thanks to the electronic cigarette. She concluded that she smoked almost two packs a day for 15 years, and she thought that she would never quit. To her surprise though, when she tried electronic cigarettes she was able to become cigarette free two days later. “As a smoker, I would recommend this product to anyone who plans on becoming cigarette free. Its a great alternative, and it still gives you the action of smoking. You inhale and blow out, unlike an awkward nicotine patch or chewing gum.” – Beverly

We have researched a number of positive testimonials such as this one and we feel that as more and more Americans are made aware of this new technology, that more and more smokers will make the switch. Our interviews and research have found that the electronic cigarette will quickly become the #1 choice for smokers looking to lead a healthier lifestyle. With the high cost of smoking traditional cigarettes, and with the danger cigarettes bring to your health, we give our recommendation and “thumbs up” to anyone looking to give these devices a try.

While conducting this research, No Flame E-Cig™, one of the most reputable electronic cigarette company, has agreed to offer our readers a limited time Electronic Cigarette Risk Free Trial kit. TRIPOLI, Libya -- Abdel Baset al Megrahi, the Libyan convicted of the 1988 Lockerbie plane bombing, was released from the hospital Monday to be with his family, but there is no prospect of recovery, his brother said.
"He is still very, very sick, in the final stages of a cancer which has no cure, so his days are numbered," said his brother Abdelhakim al Megrahi, adding that he had brought his sibling home from the hospital Monday afternoon.
Megrahi spent three days in the hospital, where he received a blood transfusion. He suffers from prostate cancer.
"No one can say whether he will live or die -- only God knows," the brother added.
A Scottish court in 2001 convicted Megrahi of the December 1988 bombing that killed 270 people, but he was released on compassionate grounds in 2009 and allowed to return to Libya.
Doctors said at the time that he had terminal cancer and only three months left to live.
Megrahi had been greeted as a hero on his return to Moamar Ghadafi's Libya after having served eight years of a minimum 27-year sentence for his role in the downing of Pan Am Flight 103.
Most of those killed in the bombing of the Boeing 747 jet headed from London to New York were Americans. All 259 passengers and crew died, along with 11 people on the ground.
