This is How The Rich in Sunset Blvd. Voted

Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel Delivers Luxury Voting Experience

DeLuxe Hotels

There are few things as exciting and charged as the presidential elections that occur every four years in the United States. This year, on Election Day, voters will head to the polls to vote for their President, Vice President, government officials and ballot measures. We all know the drill—we go to our designated voting location, get in our booth, do our civic duty and vote. But voting wasn’t always so easy.
Consider this: In Maryland, voting rights and eligibility as candidates were extended to Jewish Americans in 1828; the Fifteenth Amendment, which gave any U.S. citizen regardless of race or color the right to vote, was ratified in 1870; and women were only granted the right to vote in time to participate in the Presidential Election of 1920.
With this mind, it’s difficult to take the ability to vote in a democratic society for granted. This year, the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel aims to encourage voters to come out andRock the Vote. On November 6, from 7 am to 8 pm, the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel will serve as an official polling site for the 2012 election. In true Luxe fashion, the hotel will be offering voters in precincts 9001354A and 9001364A a unique voting experience.
The hotel’s polling station will be located in the festive Luxe Sunset ballroom.  Hotel guests and local residents (anyone in the 90049 zip code) who stop by the hotel on November 6 will be treated to Election Day specials that include complimentary valet parking, a voucher for 15% off a future dinner at On Sunset restaurant, special room rates and hors d’oeuvres throughout the day such as coffee, muffins and festive finger foods.
Who knew voting could be this much fun. With these kinds of Election Day specials, people are going to demand to vote more often!
