According to press reports, 20-year-old Brandon Simon and 21-year-old Travis Calhoun were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of breaking into the company's onetime Palo Alto headquarters and stealing 49 laptop computers.

Interestingly enough, Simon worked for a security company that patrolled Facebook's former corporate offices at 1050 Page Mill Road, according to the Chron.

Here's what happened: About 1:30 a.m. on Monday, police got a call from a private security guard reporting that two masked men had just broken into the headquarters. One of the burglars made eye contact with the guard on duty and then the two split with the laptops in tow.

The cops caught up to the suspect vehicle and found, among other things, burglary tools and "bins of laptop computers" that belonged to Facebook.
