‘Vampire Diaries’ stud, Ian Somerhalder, is one step closer to landing the lead in the ‘Fifty Shades of Gre’ movie.
In a recent interview, Somerhalder revealed he was meeting with the filmmakers of the wildly popular S&M novel ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ to play the leading role of dominant, stern, and always in control, Christian Grey.
Film producers quickly denied the claim via Twitter. They replied to a follower who asked if Somerhalder’s statement was true, saying “maybe he was lied to by someone? None the less, we are only meeting with writers.”
It is unknown why Ian Somerhalder would allude to a meeting regarding ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ if it were not true. The reason could be the producers may have wanted to keep the meeting confidential which is why they are denying the connection. Whatever the reason, Somerhalder’s not the only Hollywood hunk up for the part.
Besides Ian Somerhalder, actors such as Ryan Gosling, Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, and Robert Pattinson have been mentioned in the movie casting rumors.
