Ann Curry On Way Out } Only Bitches Survive and She is Not One

Almost exactly one year ago broadcaster Ann Curry, who had spent 14 years as the news anchor of NBC’s Today, was named the No. 1 morning show’s newest co-host, replacing Meredith Vieira. She told me at the time the new role was different for her and she felt a greater amount of responsibility, but she was excited.
However, months passed and competitor early show Good Morning America started catching up in the ratings, upsettingToday’s previously permanent position on top. Rumors swirled that Curry may take the fall, and now she and NBC are reportedly in negotiations over her exit. An NBC spokesperson said by email today that neither is commenting at this time.
Despite the breaking news on Wednesday that she would likely be replaced by late July, Curry carried on as usual on Thursday morning’s show. “Good morning twitterverse,” she wrote from her Twitter account, while fans and industry peers tweeted supportive messages like “don’t want to see you leave!” forbes.com

This is television for the ones that want to be in it. When you are expected to produce and the final tally is out of your hands because it depends on the public.  This writer is been there, not on TV but in high end retail.  The company gives you a beautiful store in a new market and then tells you this is what you need to sell $ and this is the profit you must have $;  You survive the first year putting in 7 days many times and now you are told you need to make 20 % more of what you barely made the previous year.  Is what I wanted at the time because I was cocky and a risk taker. Those things don ’t last forever. The same for Ann Curry.  She was given a show that was a proven success.  But the market changes, tastes change. It’s been said that she was to nice to survive, not a “Diva” Divas are the only ones that survice year after year because 'divas’ are bitches…they are not nice people and Television is not a nice medium for anyone nice.
There is no reason to feel sorry for her.  For sure NBC will give something else instead of creating a spectacle that will only cost the, ratings.
The only thing to learn from this is that bitches always survive. You try being real nice and then try to be bitchy, see how many people come close to you when you are bitchy. I’m  not into having lots of friends for that reason, I can be a bitch but I choose not to be... enjoy life better that way.
