Study } You Want Lots of FB Friends= Douched Bag

Welcome to Los Angeles, fellow narcissist! You're one of us. But seriously, a study unleashed today says that having lots of Facebook friends is a strong signal of your narcissism. You better cut someone off, fast, and it better not be your mom.

... published in the March issue of Personality and Individual Differences, found that folks with lots of friends, frequent updates and plenty of self-tagged photos tend to display narcissistic traits.

Some of the most narcissistic people the research discovered had more than 800 friends.

The author, 30-year-old Western Illinois University assistant communication professor Christopher Carpenter, looked at 292 Facebook users, mostly college students:

Facebook, the study says, "offers a gateway for hundreds of shallow relationships and emotionally detached communication."
