Matt Bomer, star of USA Network's 'White Collar,' came out during an acceptance speech Saturday.

 

Matt Bomer has played many diverse roles in his career, but the "White Collar" star has never been more proud of who he is off-screen.

During an acceptance speech at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards Saturday, Bomer publicly confirmed what tabloids have been speculating for some time - that he is gay.

"I'd really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry," he told the audience as he accepted the New Generation Arts and Activism Award, according to Us Weekly.

"Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment."
