Mitt on Marriage { Kept Mass from Being Las Vegas}

With Santorum surging and heavily on the lips of CPAC attendees (word choice!), Mitt Romney is finding it necessary to increase his chest-beating on social issues. He did just that today during a speech in front of conservative convention members as he bragged about preventing Massachusetts from becoming the "Las Vegas of gay marriage." Video, after the jump!
"I fought to have a stay on that decision, then pushed for a marriage amendment to our Constitution. We lost by only one vote in the legislature. And I successfully prohibited out- of-state couples from coming to our state to get married and then going home. On my watch, we fought hard and prevented Massachusetts from becoming the Las Vegas of gay marriage."
Mitt Romney also promised once again to deliver a constitutional amendment banning marriage rights for gay couples should he become president.
