Gay Community In Seattle Supports Starbucks

Everyone working at the Starbucks on Olive Way in Seattle had better brace themselves.
They’re about to get a lot of company.
An impromptu rally is planned for 6 p.m. Friday to thank Starbucks for supporting gay marriage in Washington state. The company professed its support for the change last week, and there’s been a groundswell of support and outrage sever since.
Some Christian leaders called for a boycott against Starbucks, saying its “following Satan.”
Then there’s this rally, with roughly 60 people RSVPing in the affirmative on Facebook. (At the time this post was published, anyway.)
After writing about the Starbucks boycott earlier this week, I received a reader email that  summed it up this way: There area  lot of reasons to boycott Starbucks, but this isn’t one of them.
