West End Actor Colin Tarrant Commits Suicide

The dad-of-two — TV's Inspector Andrew Monroe — was found in the bathroom of his home.
The 59-year-old was taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary where medics battled in vain to save him. He leaves a partner Sabrina and sons Louis, six months, and Juma, 24.

Colin appeared in police drama The Bill from 1990 until 2002.
He was also in Heartbeat, Holby City, Casualty and Midsomer Murders. Colin also triumphed on stage playing Brian Clough in The Spirit Of The Man and recently John in the theatre production of Calendar Girls.
West End theatre producer David Pugh said: "Colin was a lovely man."
A family statement said: "Colin was best known in The Bill, a part he played very happily for many years."
His death, on Thursday, is one of a number of tragedies to hit the ITV show. In 2008, Jeff Stewart. 56, attempted to kill himself on set in his dressing room after his character PC Reg Hollis was cut from the show.
In 1998 Kevin Lloyd, who played Tosh Lines, died a week after being sacked for turning up to work drunk and not learning his lines. The 49-year-old had been receiving treatment for alcoholism.
