Nancy Pelosi to Gay GOP } Barney Frank "Chooses a party that supports his values"

Minority Leader of U.S. House of Reps says GOP treats gays with disrespect
If you want to set Nancy   Pelosi off, ask her about gay Republicans who are critical of gay Democratic Congressman Barney Frank.
'He chooses a party that supports his values,' she tells The Advocate in a new cover story. 'They've chosen a party that supports their income — a party that denigrates them and treats them with disrespect.'
Pelosi's remarks come during a primary season where all of the GOP's presidential hopefuls - some more strongly than others - have uniformly spoken out against LGBT equality.
Pelosi tells The Advocate that this anti-LGBT rhetoric does not surprise her and is a real window into the soul of the GOP which continues to stand behind the Defense of Marriage Act, a federal ban on gay marriages.
'It's pretty self-evident. This is who they are,' she says of Republicans. 'Are they so bankrupt of ideas that they have to continue the DOMA cases?'
Frank, the first openly gay member of congress, is retiring at the end of the current session after more than three decades in the U.S. House.
'The IQ will go down here, as will the humor factor,' Pelosi says. 'This is a man who brought such values and commitment to a progressive agenda in the Congress, and whether you agreed with him when he spoke or not, everyone listened to him and learned.'
