bye bye Martha } 'Martha Stewart Show' Canceled

This time, it's her TV show that's on lockdown. After gracing the Hallmark Channel for six pepper-stuffing years, "The Martha Stewart Show" will wrap its run in April.
According to this NY Post report, poor ratings are to blame. (The daytime series, which features homemaker tips, averaged 225,000 viewers last year.) In addition, production costs had been escalating. And no matter how big your name is, when low ratings meet high production costs, you're TV history (in the way that's not a good one).
Stewart, 70, is reportedly planning a "lavish, Oprah-style" final episode.
A Stewart spokeswoman told the Post that repeats of the show will run at least until September, and that Hallmark is talking to them about "daytime programming in the future as well." The possibilities could include a Stewart-starring makeover show.
“The Martha Stewart Show” airs 10 a.m. ET/PT weekdays on the Hallmark Channel.
