Sinead O’ Connor TriesTo Commit Suicide } Bipolar Issues

  • Sinead O'Connor's antics have once again taken a turn into the tragic. The Irish singer, who recently wed, broke up with, and then reunited with therapist Barry Herridge, tells the London Sun that she attempted suicide last Thursday in Los Angeles.
"I took an overdose," reveals Sinead, who also admits she nearly tried again two days ago. "God obviously wants me around, though I can't think why."
On Wednesday, the problem-plagued mother of four sent out a barrage of tweets detailing her fragile emotional state.
"i realize i will be in trouble 4 doing this but..Ireland is a VERY hard place to find help in," Sinead wrote. "having tried other ways 1st anyone know a psychiatrist in Dublin or Wicklow? I'm really unwell -- and in danger."
She quickly reiterated the urgency of the situation: "i desperately need to get back on meds today. am in serious danger."
O'Connor, 45, who also claimed to be suffering from a broken ankle, blamed her spiral on the fallout from her impulsive marriage.
On Sunday, the Independent newspaper wondered whether her new husband's work with drug-addicted teens was at odds with his marriage to someone who went searching for pot shortly after they exchanged vows in a pink Cadillac at a Las Vegas chapel.
Thankfully, Sinead eventually got back on Twitter to thank her followers for their suggestions and support, insisting that was she "feeling much better."
"I just had to make a cry for help," she told the Sun.
"dont be ashamed to reach out an dont mind any1 bashes u for it," O'Connor tweeted. "thats what hospitals said today. so.. thank God for twitter and Gods lovely ppl. now me work.. then me love up me man."
This isn't the first time she has used Twitter as a lifeline. In September, the admittedly bipolar singersent a similar series of soul-baring tweets, saying, "I [bleeping] hate Ireland so much. All this s--- we're not supposed to say. Including suicidal feelings, sex, etc. U just get treated like a crazy person. I want to go to heaven SO bad."
In 2007, Sinead admitted to Oprah that she tried to kill herself on her 33rd birthday in 1999. Four years later, she was diagnosed as bipolar.

Here we go Again With Do you Want Him or Him } Matt Barr Vs. Robert Buckley

Matt Barr is possibly one of the nicest guys you’ll meet in Hollywood. I know, I worked with him on Hellcats for its one and only season. His southern Texas charm will make you swoon and he’s tall with blonde hair and blue eyes. What more do you need? Currently, Matt has a few projects in post production including the thrilling movie Seven Below which also stars Val Kilmer. You can also except to see Matt in Hatfields & McCoy, a TV series depicting the famous feud in the upcoming year.
I

Robert Buckley has made quite a name for himself over the last few years starring as Clay on One Tree Hill aka the show that never dies. This tall, dreamy, California native has also been deemed one of Hollywood’s good guys and one it’s hardest workers as well. You may have also seen Robert on the series Lipstick Jungle or the show Fashion House. Robert has stuck pretty close to television his whole career but I would love to see him jump into an action feature film in the next year.

Justin Bieber Unveils Dancing Robot } Justin Admires Michael Jackson

IDG News Service - Justin Bieber caused a minor scrum on the floor of the Consumer Electronics Show Wednesday when he stopped by to launch a dancing robot for Vietnamese toy and robotics designer Tosy.
Bieber looked ready for the spotlight in his Louis Vuitton denim jacket as he greeted fans in Las Vegas. He signed autographs and posed for pictures for about an hour before stepping to the stage to showcase the companys robot.
[Watch a video of the Biebs]
The mRobo is designed as a speaker that can also dance to music uploaded from a USB stick. But Tosy seemed not quite ready for the announcement, with at least three microphone failures and a nonworking screen that Bieber was supposed to turn on to start a video of the twirling toy.
Eventually a different screen worked and showed the robot doing a few more dance moves than the actual prototype was able to do. Tosy said the mRobo will be available for purchase this year. The price wasn't immediately available.
Later, after some more confusion about where Bieber was supposed to be, he abruptly left the stage for good. There was no word on how much Tosy paid to have Bieber appear for the company.

JUSTIN Bieber strives to emulateMichael Jackson.
The Baby singer says he looks up to the late Thriller hitmake and is keen to match Michael’s success.
“I consider Michael Jackson the best,” he told V magazine. “If I could be at his level … But I’ve got a lot of work to do. I’m not saying it’s going to happen within the next three years. But hopefully by the time I’m 30, people will remember me.
“I want to transition, and become the greatest.”
Bieber — who is currently dating singer Selena Gomez — recently revealed he will be “more into making love” when he gets older.
“I’m not going to try to conform to what people want me to be or go out there and start partying, have people see me with alcohol. I want to do it at my own pace,” he said.
“I don’t want to start singing about things like sex, drugs and swearing. I’m into love, and maybe I’ll get more into making love when I’m older. But I want to be someone who is respected by everybody.”

Reddit Genius Arrested } Too Many Downloads

Now, here’s a story you don’t see every day: someone arrested for downloading too many academic journal articles.
Ars Technica (“Former Reddit co-owner arrested for excessive JSTOR downloads“):
Aaron Swartz, the 24-year-old wunderkind who co-authored the RSS specification at age 14 and sold his stake in Reddit to Condé Nast (which also owns Ars Technica) before his 20th birthday, was arrested Tuesday on charges of wire fraud, computer fraud, “unlawfully obtaining information from,” and “recklessly damaging” a “protected computer.” He is accused of downloading 4.8 million documents from the academic archive JSTOR, in violation of its terms of use, and of evading MIT’s efforts to stop him from doing so.
Swartz is a founder of the advocacy organization Demand Progress. In a statement, Demand Progress executive director David Segal blasted the arrest. “It’s like trying to put someone in jail for allegedly checking too many books out of the library,” he said. Demand Progress also quoted James Jacobs, the Government Documents Librarian at Stanford University, who said that the arrest “undermines academic inquiry and democratic principles.”
According to the complaint, Swartz purchased a laptop in September 2010 and registered it under the name “Gary Host” (username: “ghost”) on the MIT network. He then ran a Python script that rapidly downloaded articles from the JSTOR. JSTOR detected the script and blocked his IP address. The complaint alleges that there followed a game of cat and mouse in which Swartz repeatedly changed his IP and MAC address to evade JSTOR and MIT’s efforts to block access. Swartz also bought a second laptop to speed up the downloading process. Finally, on October 9, JSTOR gave up and and blocked the entire MIT campus from using JSTOR.
[...]
The complaint alleges that “Swartz intended to distribute a significant portion of JSTOR’s archive of digitized journal articles through one or more file-sharing sites.” But it offers no evidence for this claim. In fact, in a statement following the arrest, JSTOR acknowledged that “we secured from Mr. Swartz the content that was taken, and received confirmation that the content was not and would not be used, copied, transferred, or distributed.”
Indeed, Wired reports that JSTOR, the alleged victim, has denied seeking Swartz’s prosecution.
This . . . makes no sense whatsoever. Even if we presume Swartz had some sort of malicious intent here–and there’s really no evidence of that–how is it a criminal matter rather than a civil one? At most, this would seem to be a tort–an infringement on JSTOR’s intellectual property.
Naturally, this also raises the broader question of whether academic research–the lion’s share of which is paid for by tax money–ought be private commodity. Certainly, the scholars who conduct it have some proprietary rights to it in order that they get the proper professional credit. Beyond that, though, it should really be in the public domain.

Van Der Sloot in Peru ] GUILTY!

LIMA (Reuters) – Dutch citizen Joran Van der Sloot apologized in court on Wednesday for killing a young Peruvian woman in 2010 and accepted murder charges against him in a plea that could lighten his sentence.
Van der Sloot, who was arrested but never charged in the 2005 disappearance of 18-year-old Alabama native Natalee Holloway on the Dutch Caribbean island of Aruba, killed 21-year-old business student Stephany Flores after meeting her in a casino in Lima.
“I am sorry. The truth is I feel very bad,” he told the panel of three judges. He said “yes, yes” when asked if he was guilty and if he was accepting the charges in exchange for the chance of receiving a shorter jail term.
By asking for a “forestalled conclusion” to the murder trial, the equivalent of pleading “no contest” in other countries, the judges could swiftly sentence him on Friday.
His lawyer, Jose Jimenez, said earlier this week that Van der Sloot’s plea could reduce his sentence to 10 years from 25-35 years.
Jimenez said that at the time of Flores’s death, Van der Sloot was suffering from “post-traumatic stress” caused by inquiries into his possible ties to Holloway’s disappearance.
Van der Sloot, reportedly 24 years old, smiled and appeared relaxed on Wednesday as he chatted with his lawyer after the judges suspended the trial until Friday.

Peruvian police said Flores, a highly-skilled poker player and the daughter of a wealthy businessman, was robbed and killed on May 30, 2010, exactly five years after Holloway disappeared.
Van der Sloot has told police he strangled Flores after he found her looking at his laptop computer in his hotel room. The laptop contained emails about Holloway’s death.
Van der Sloot fled to Chile after Flores’ death but was arrested there and returned to Peru for questioning.
The murder probe brought renewed attention to the case of Holloway, who vanished during a high school graduation trip to Aruba, where Van der Sloot was living.
Van der Sloot was arrested twice in the Holloway case but he was never charged due to a lack of evidence as they never found her body. Holloway’s family has criticized Dutch authorities for not making more progress in the case.

People That Never Googled ‘Santorum’ Before } OMG

The following treasure adamfoxie* found at BuzzFeed.com. This was a Question I had after posting so many articles with the ‘Santorum' definition. The only question I had was: What is the reaction that people have for the first time after the Google ‘Santorum’ ? I found it and I am sharing with you:

(There are still people out there who have never googled “Santorum.” Santorum's strong finish in the Iowa caucuses brought with it a curiosity about him, and since we all sate curiosity with Google, forth went the searching masses. Some people didn't know about the sticky situation in which they were soon to find themselves)
