When will this DIY plastic surgery madness end? Last month, a Florida-based scam-doctor Oneal Ron Morris was arrested for injecting cement into peoples' buttocks, and now, this month, a New Jersey woman has been arrested for injecting a man's penis with silicone.
Kasia Rivera, 34, has been charged for manslaughter following the death of Justin Street. On May 5, Street had visited Rivera's New Jersey home for a backstreet penis enhancement procedure; however, just a day after attending the so-called "pumping-party" the 22-year-old was dead.

It was later discovered that during their "pumping party," Rivera had injected Street with silicone, causing him to suffer a clot in his lung. A medical examiner determined he died of a silicone embolism.
According to the ever-authoritative UrbanDictionary, a "pumping party" is an illegal, growing underground movement, where "transgender individuals inject silicone into their bodies to create curves, breasts, hips, etc. These parties are sometimes attended by non-transgender individuals who are looking for a low-cost solution to the desired cosmetic procedures." Not surprisingly, these procedures are performed by non-professionals in unsanitary conditions.

Silicon injections are increasingly used by mainstream practitioners to enlarge body parts, such as the buttocks, but blackmarket illegal use by untrained people continues as a quick-fix budget alternative to cosmetic surgery.
Rivera was arrested on Friday and is currently being held on $75,000 bail. In contrast, Oneal Ron Morris was recently released from custody after posting bail of $15000, following a charge of practising medicine without a licence and causing serious bodily injury.
