CA Fast Track for Marriage Equality } Letter from American Foundation of Equal Rights
Dear Adam,
Today, starting at 2:30 p.m. PT, our all-star legal team led by Ted Olson and David Boies will be back before Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
This will likely be the final hearing before the Ninth Circuit issues a ruling on the U.S. District Court’s historic decision that struck down Prop. 8.
Our federal lawsuit for full marriage equality is back on the fast track. After today’s hearing, the Ninth Circuit can issue a ruling at any time. Sign up to be the first to hear about the court’s decision.

A three-judge panel will hear two hours of oral arguments. In the first hour, Ted Olson will explain why the videotapes of the 2010 Prop. 8 trial should be publicly accessible. And in the second hour, David Boies will show why the anti-marriage Proponents’ desperate motion to throw out the Prop. 8 decision is meritless.
And be sure to follow live updates from the courthouse at afer.org and Twitter.
We should be prepared for a swift ruling from the court. We won in District Court and we’ll win again in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. And then we’ll win full federal equality for every gay and lesbian American.
Sincerely,
Chad GriffinBoard President
