– The judge who let busted former Penn State defensive coach Jerry Sandusky out of jail earlier this month on $100,000 unsecured bail has done volunteer work for the charity Sandusky founded, according to theNew York Daily News. Sandusky reportedly used his Second Mile charity, which reached out to needy children, to connect with some of his alleged victims. The state attorney general had demanded $500,000 in bail after Sandusky was charged with 40 counts of sexually abusing young boys. He also asked District Judge Leslie Dutchcot to order that Sandusky be outfitted with an electronic leg monitor, but Dutchcot only ordered Sandusky not to have contact with children. Dutchcot was not immediately available to comment on her links to the charity.
