San Francisco ranks as the 7th most stressful city

We feel our blood pressure rising.
It’s been a tough year for the city by the bay.
City officials started pushing an ordinance demanding that our nudists drop a towel to sit on if they want to drop trou.
Puddles of urine stopped being the only thing we have to sidestep while walking downtown, since panhandlers have become more aggressive.
And BART commuters just couldn’t seem to catch a break, either in getting a signal in the tunnel or getting home without getting stuck in a protest.
All this on top of our already never-ending struggle to keep track of who is actually running for mayor, deciding whether cows milk cauliflower ice cream would pair better with salted rum cake or dark chocolate olive oil, and remembering the exact moment your perfectly legal parking spot becomes a tow zone.
It’s enough to stress out even the most peaceful of San Franciscans, and Forbes took notice. San Francisco placed seventh on the Forbes‘ list of America’s Most Stressful Cities.
Forbes cited the city’s 10.1 percent unemployment rate, high cost of living, and pricey housing that ranks second in the nation for least affordable as some of the reasons San Franciscans need a few mental health days.
Los Angeles, birth place of Carmageddon, beat out that insomniac city on the east coast for the number one spot on the list.
California proved to be the most miserable of states with five cities cracking the top 15, much of which had to do with ozone levels. San Diego, “America’s Finest City,” plunked itself down at number five, Riverside claimed number 14, and Sacramento just sneaked in at number 15.
Disagree with the ranking? Our Muni drivers need life coaches, for crying out loud.
