Pastor in Tulsa Arrested in Connection to Raping Teenager

A DNA match helps police arrest a West Tulsa pastor in connection to the rape of a teenager.
Tulsa Police Sex Crimes detectives arrested Allen Ray Jeffers, 63, for raping a 15-year-old girl who is mentally challenged.
They say a DNA profile from the teen’s assault matched Jeffers, who is a convicted felon in California.
Police say on September 6th, the girl walked away from her school in East Tulsa.
They claim Jeffers, who didn't know the girl, picked her up and took her to an area near 5th and N. Mingo and sexually assaulted the teen.
He then dropped her off at a North Tulsa McDonald’s where she flagged down someone for a ride home.
Police were called and she was taken to the hospital for a sexual assault exam.
DNA recovered from the exam linked to Jeffers' DNA.
Detectives say Jeffers has been in Tulsa since 2000 and preaches at Summit Park Full Gospel Church in West Tulsa.
They say in California he was convicted of Indecent Exposure and Lewd Molestation.
Police say DNA evidence helped greatly in this case. They encourage victims of sexual assaults to be examined immediately for any evidence to help catch the predator.
Detectives encourage anyone who knows Jeffers or has any information about potential victims to call police.

Jail records show Jeffers was arrested at Summit Park Full Gospel Church Friday night and booked facing Rape by Instrumentation, Lewd Molestation and Kidnapping charges.
He is being held on $100,000 bond.

A friend in disbelief.
"Completely shocked," says someone close to Allen Jeffers who wants to remain anonymous. "Not the man of God that I personally know."
This person pastor Jeffers for about 15 years.
"Been around kids at camps and stuff never seen nothing," says the friend. "Church functions, never seen nothing. Skating parties, never seen nothing."
The friend heard Jeffers was arrested last night during Bible study.
"I just couldn't believe it."
"That's no the person he portrayed. That's not the person I've ever seen."
This person thought of Jeffers as more than a pastor, he was a friend. He was there for (him/her) when (he /she) was going through a rough time.
"Never felt a wrong spirit about him. I would think that I would feel something like that."
Phone messages have been left with the Summit Park Full Gospel Church. Those calls were not returned.
