Gay Comedy by Ryan Murphy is Pick Up by NBC
Yay, Modern Family is moving to NBC! But not really. Ryan Murphy's new comedy was just nabbed by NBC.
NBC has picked up a single-camera project from Glee creator/executive producer Ryan Murphy and the show’s co-executive producer Allison Adler, in what's being considered as the biggest comedy sale this season.
Deadline describes the project as "a heartwarming comedy about a blended family of a gay couple and the woman who becomes a surrogate to help them start a family," drawing on Murphy and Adler's real-life experiences having a family or looking to have one.
They are already exploring casting options for the three leads of the script that had created a bidding war among NBC, FOX and ABC
We are going to go ahead and say it, we are excited for this show! Afterall, wasn't it NBC that gave us Will and Grace?
However, do you think that, with Glee and American Horror Story, Murphy is spreading himself to thin?
