H.S. Hate Crime Caught on Tape: Bully Savagely Beats Gay Student

A gay student was beaten into a concussed puddle this week at Union-Scioto High School in Chillicothe, Ohio by a bully who chillingly preyed upon his victim. The entire brutal attack was caught on tape by a student cell phone camera, which was then posted to Facebook.

In the video, the bully is seen alert and waiting for the gay student to arrive into the classroom before pouncing. The gay student attempts several times to back away from the fight before being thrown to the ground and punched repeatedly until his body goes limp.

The attack was clearly premeditated and entirely unprovoked. The bully had left homophobic comments on his victim’s Facebook page two days earlier, writing, ”You fag. Check out the definition of a fag.”

Oh hell no. The video clearly shows that this was a vicious and brutal attack, the Facebook comments from the prior days prove that it was also a hate crime. The gay student’s mother is pressing criminal charges against the bully, and one would hope the school as well for subjecting this victim to a classroom more akin to a prison cell shared by his attacker.

There have been more than enough national stories of gay students bullied into suicide or serious injury over the past year. It is no secret that the entire country is on high alert for this sort of behavior. The Union-Scioto High School not taking this attack – CAUGHT ON VIDEO – seriously is a crime in itself.

Please take a moment to contact the local sheriff now handling this case and the school district, and voice your concern. No cussing, no condemning anyone to hell. Well-written letters only, please.

Try the bully as an adult and throw him in jail. The gay student and all of his classmates deserve far better than their school is treating them.

The gay student received a concussion and broken teeth for his part in this sad story. The bully? A three day suspension.
