Next Top Chef--Nice Bud-- but Boring
Bravo just announced the new cast ofTop Chef Texas. While we watch the series, we weren't really paying attention because we're caught up in the current seasons of Top Chef Just Desserts, Project Runway, and America's Next Top Model All Stars; there's only so much time one can devote to reality competition shows, ya see.
Then Gothamist made the connection between the upcoming season's uniquely-named gay chef Ty-Lör Boring, and a certain Butt magazine model. That's right, he's posed in the underground mag with a little furry bootie bear-ly showing.
The article says, "Boring, a chef [at]Spasso in the West Village, has both the gay card and the tragic backstory card going for him... he explains how he was cast out of his religious hometown at a young age but is drawn back now as both of his parents struggle with their health: his father has suffered 10 heart attacks and his mother is dying of silicone breast implant poisoning. Sure, the whole thing, including his name, might be part of a bizarro performance art piece, but we give him props for playing it, ahem...straight."
