It is nice to know that most Tea Party- right extremist- Palin followers will follow her into the depths, even if she is so inherently wrong it borders on pathetic.
After Palin’s much discussed “flub” of American history, it was recently found out that after her fabrication of Paul Revere’s epic ride, her followers (what are they called? Palin-ites?) took to Wikipedia with the fervor of the Tea Party in Rhode Island Boston during the American Revolution.
Oh, Palin supporters, just admit that your esteemed lady is not as brushed up on American history  or politics – despite her being so “pro-American” and loving her guns! Palin did what she always has been known to do; she put her expensive stiletto pump right in her mouth.
Editing Wikipedia is not going to make her any more credible – that ship has long sailed.
Via Wikipedia (before its deletion):
Revere did not shout the phrase later attributed to him (“The British are coming!”), largely because the mission depended on secrecy and the countryside was filled with British army patrols; also, most colonial residents at the time considered themselves British as they were all legally British subjects.
Luckily, Wikipedia quickly caught that flub and soon deleted it citing it as coming from an “unverifiable source.” How fitting.
Of course, Palin wasn’t going to go down so easy. On Sunday, she gave a statement on Fox that she was “correct.”
“Part of his ride was to warn the British that were already there that ‘hey, you’re not going to take American arms, you are not going to beat our own well-armed persons individual private militia that we have.’”
