James Franco Quits Tweeter?

And they said this day would never come. How wrong they were! Because today, ladies and gentletweeters, is the day that even James Franco thinks he's overexposed.
At least, that's what we're left to assume as just this week (just earlier this week, actually, so there goes that April Fool's theory) Franco disabled his Twitter account without a peep. Or, um, tweet.
So what happened?
Maybe we can chalk this one up to a social experiment? He seems to be quite fond of those, and only joined Twitter in the days leading up to his Oscar hosting gig—about which, incidentally, he'll seemingly give his final word tonight, when he sits down with a commiserating David Letterman.
In any case, Franco was particularly active in recent weeks on the site, quickly starting and ending feuds with everyone from Oscar writer Bruce Vilanch to a Yale Daily News undergrad reporter. He was also extremely active on the account during the awards show, posting more than a few photos and video gems.
Sadly, there's no word on whether his hiatus is a temporary one or if he's content to quit cold turkey.
Personally, we're pulling for James' return (though maybe taking a little break from the constant glare of the suddenly disapproving spotlight would be good for us all). Besides, now where are we gonna get our fill of swoon-worthy photos like this?
Certainly not from a warlock.
