In a revealing interview with OutMagazine about his sexuality,  reveals what kind of guys that he easily falls for. "I don't even know anymore. I think when I was younger, I could box in what my sexuality was about, what's my type and all that. But as I've gotten older, and just learned more about myself and the world, it's not really about type anymore," he says. "I mean, if someone's hot, they're hot. If someone's interesting, they're interesting. If you have an energy and a chemistry with someone, then you have chemistry. Done. You can't really define that or explain it. It just is. You just meet people and you click, or you don't. You know? Although -- I like pretty boys."

When asked to define the word "pretty", the singer claims "Pretty is pretty. And I'm generally drawn to [guys who are] younger than me. Generally ... but there are exceptions." Furthermore admitting that he never falls for straight guys, Adam however says that he has a crush on fellow "" singer , gushing "He's pretty. He's a pretty boy. You know? And he's nice. He's a really nice guy. One of the things that I think is so refreshing and cool about him is that he's from Arkansas -- and this is me being small-minded -- I just kinda figured that the acceptance of people like me in Arkansas is probably a lot lower than here. And he's very open-minded to people's lifestyles and he doesn't judge. He's a good guy."

And when Out Magazine presents him with question if he is ever attracted to females, he has this to say, "I will make out with a girl at a bar. I mean, after a couple of drinks." But, when pressed with if has had sex with girls, he simply answers "oral", before then elaborating "It was a little gross because I don't think she was as clean as she could've been. It wasn't the act of it that really turned me off. I don't really remember. I was 18 and I was drunk. Or maybe I was 17... The point of the matter is that I would not rule it out. The idea is intriguing."

Adam Lambert's full interview is featured on Out Magazine's "Out 100" special issue. The particular edition has the openly gay singer featured on its cover alongside some other famous gay and lesbian celebs.

Adam Lambert To Gay Teens: Ignore The Hate, Focus On The Love

PUBLISHED: OCTOBER 17, 2010
Rocker Adam Lambert says he wants gay teens to ignore the hate and
 focus on the love.
Lambert addressed the recent spate of gay teens bullied to death in the
U.S. at a press conference before performing in Malaysia, which was
protested by members of the Pan Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS), Malaysia's
Islamic opposition party because the theatrical performer “promotes
gay culture.” Holding signs that read “Not Our Culture” protesters held a reportedly peaceful demonstration outside the venue.
Earlier, the PAS had demanded the cancellation of the concert, but Lambert
agreed to edit out a controversial kiss between himself and his male
 keyboardist, Tommy Joe Ratliff.
The openly gay Lambert talked about the protest and the role celebrities
play in advancing gay rights at a press conference held before the concert.
“My message to the youth of the U.S. and to the world is that you should
be proud of who you are,” he answered a reporter asking about the
recent gay teen suicides. “And I know that it's hard.” (The video is
embedded in the right panel of this page.)
“I'm still bullied, in a sense, by certain groups, by certain journalists in
a way. And the general public. If you go on the Internet, for example,
and you go down into the comments section. There's a lot of hate. But
you know what? If I focused on the hate and let it affect me, I'd be letting
the hate win. I refuse to do that. I'm going to focus on the positive and
focus on the love, and ignore all the hate.”

Facebook and GLAAD Team Up to Stop Anti-Gay Bullies

Fresh off a screening of The Social Network, I am on a Facebook high. I am shamefully addicted to the 'book, or FB as I like to call it, and it pains me how much time I spend procrastinating on the website. But I feel a bit better about it now that it has become clear that the company is (at least attempting to be) a friend of the gays.
Facebook is joining ranks with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) to combat anti-gay epithets that have made their way onto the site. They created the partnership after GLAAD asked for Facebook's help in removing a page dedicated to the victims of anti-gay bullying who have committed suicide.
Say what? That had me a bit confused, too. You see, the RIP dedication page soon turned into a war of words, with hate speech about the gay and lesbian community dominating the "discussion." If you have ever attempted to talk to someone pummeling hate speech your way, you'll know that it is not much of a discussion. It is an attack. Facebook has reportedly developed new software that will allow filters to quickly track language that is deemed hateful or threatening to the gay community.
“Educating people about the lasting and damaging impacts of ignorant and hateful comments is a responsibility shared by parents, educators, organizations like GLAAD, and services like Facebook," Facebook Spokesman Andrew Noyes said in a statement. "We take our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities very seriously.”
Despite the fact that posting hate speech about a group of people is against the Terms of Service, Facebook abuse of the LGBT community is widespread. It even happens on the Change.org Gay Rights page. I would have thought that people who hate gays would refrain from signing up to read countless gay-news updates and commentaries, but I am clearly not as smart as I think I am.
On the RIP page in question, one victim's photo was captioned with the phrase, "I'm having a great time in purgatory." Facebook maintains that they want their users to be able to express unpopular opinions, and I agree with that. You can tell me that Jersey Shore is high art. Or that Kentucky Fried Chicken is the greatest food in the world. I can deal with those opinions. But don't tell me that a dead gay kid — a kid who took his own life because he was so tortured while he was still here — is living in purgatory. That has no place on my Facebook. Get rid of the hate speech, get rid of the LGBT threats, and for the love of everything sane in the world, get rid of Farmville.

Ft. Worth Councilman Joel Burns Has Received 800 Phone Calls, And Already Saved At Least 1 Life

"It is important to point out in these moments of grief that there is absolutely no scientific evidence of an 'epidemic of gay youth suicide,' or even that gay youth kill themselves more frequently than do straight youth," says Ritch Savin-Williams, professor of developmental psychology and director of Cornell University's Sex and Gender Lab — which flies in the face of one study that says gay teens are four times more at risk of suicide than their straight counterparts. "[T]o assert that there is an epidemic of gay youth suicide is not only speculative but also irresponsible because of the message it delivers to gay youth: 'be prepared to kill yourself.' Indeed, most gay youth love their life and wouldn't change their sexuality even if they had a magic pill to do so. Is this not the better message to deliver?" Of course it is. It doesn't change the awful reality we're in the middle of. The one that Fort Worth City Councilman Joel Burns — who in 2007 triumphed over anti-gay attacks to win his seat, and whose anti-bullying speech last weekquickly went viral — recognized in the suicide of Zach Harrington.
Speaking to MSNBC's Thomas Roberts on Friday (below) and The Early Show's Chris Wragge on Saturday (top), Burns says he wanted to deliver his story at the previous week's City Council meeting, but decided not to. Then he heard about Harrington, the Norman, Oklahoma 19-year-old who attended a hateful Council meeting of his own, where he heard his neighbors reveal their disgust about homosexuality — and then killed himself.
After giving out his own phone number at the meeting, Burns says he's received some 800 phone calls. As far away as Australia, where at least one young man is still alive today.

GLAAD Not Buying Vince Vaughn's Defense Of Gay Joke In 'The Dilemma'

PUBLISHED: OCTOBER 17, 2010
The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) on Friday
rejected Vince Vaughn's defense of a gay joke in the upcoming
Ron Howard-directed comedy film The Dilemma.
Laughing about our differences brings us together, Vaughn said in
responding to calls to cut the joke from the film, set for release in
January.
After CNN host Anderson Cooper criticized the film's trailer during an
appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Universal Pictures responded
by altering the online version of the trailer.
The new trailer no longer includes Vaughn's character in a boardroom
saying, “Electric cars are gay. I mean not 'homosexual' gay, but 'my
parents are chaperoning the dance' gay.”
Vaughn said that while he was “outraged” by bullying and persecution,
joking about our differences “brings us together.”
“Drawing divided lines over what we can and cannot joke about does exact
In a blog posting Friday, GLAAD disagreed.
“We don't doubt Vince Vaughn's sincerity when he says he cares about
people who are bullied for their 'differences.' Nor do we doubt that
Universal executives feel the same way.”
“But this isn't about intent. It's about the fact that no matter what the
intent, when 'gay' is used as a pejorative, it sends a message, particularly
to youth, that gay taunts are acceptable. And it sends a message to LGBT
youth that they are people who should be made fun of.”
“Vince is right. Comedy does bring us together, unless one of us is the
punchline. Then it pushes us apart,” the group added.

Senate Hopeful Ken Buck Says Being Gay Is A Choice, Like Alcoholism

PUBLISHED: OCTOBER 17, 2010
U.S. Senate hopeful Ken Buck said Sunday that he believes being gay is
 a choice, like alcoholism.
The Colorado Republican is in a tight race against incumbent Democrat
Michael Bennet. The candidates appeared on NBC's Meet the Press.
When moderator David Gregory asked Buck if he believes being gay is
a lifestyle choice, he answered, “I do.”
“You can choose who your partner is,” Buck said. “I think that birth has an influence, like alcoholism and some other things … But I think that,
 basically, you have a choice.”
On the program, Bennet said Buck's views on being gay are “outside the mainstream,” and after the program the Bennet campaign immediately
blasted out a video of Buck's comments with the tagline, “Buck compares
being gay to alcoholism.”
According to the TheHill.com, Buck attempted to clarify his remarks while speaking with reporters after the debate.
“I said I thought there was some element of predisposition and I thought
there was some element of choice. I'm not a biologist and I haven't
studied the issue but that's my feeling on the issue.”
“I was talking about predisposition,” Buck added. “I wasn't talking about
being gay as a disease. I don't think that at all. What I meant was that I
think there are a variety of factors.”
Buck's remarks come on the heels of President Barack Obama saying

Child rapist James Saunders, dubbed The Wolfman, has twice escaped from Broadmoor
A police investigation has been launched after a nurse at Broadmoor quit over allegations she had sexual relationships with TWO dangerous inmates.
One of the patients at the high-security hospital is HIV-positive double-child rapist James Saunders, known as The Wolfman.
The other patient  was also under the care of the blonde nurse in Broadmoor's Kempton Ward.
A hospital source told the News Of The World: 'The nurse and  Saunders regularly met in the laundry room for sex.
'The other patient complained when he found out she was having sex with someone who was HIV-positive at the same time as him.'
According to the newspaper, bosses found intimate love letters she had written and escorted her from the premises. A ward manager has also been suspended.
Saunders, 42,  who was detained for life for raping two girls aged 11 and 15 in 1985, twice broke out of Broadmoor in the early Nineties.
He was dubbed the Wolfman after living in the wild for three weeks while on the run.
A Broadmoor spokesman said: 'We can confirm a staff member was suspended and then resigned following serious allegations.'

Brigitte Bardot wants to Challenge Sarkozy as French President

She said in an interview last month that politics disgusts her. But today Brigitte Bardot announced that she could be running for French president at the next election in 2012.
The former actress, now 76, shocked fans in 1973 when she retired to become an animal rights activist. Now she has been asked by France's Ecology Alliance party to challenge Nicolas Sarkozy for the country's leadership.
The party campaigns for animal rights and against the ritual slaughter of livestock by Muslims for halal meat.

Bardot has now written to President Sarkozy telling him she may run against him because he 'took her for an idiot' by not keeping his manifesto promises to outlaw the traditional Muslim treatment of animals.
She wants a law making it compulsory to give animals anaesthetic before their throats are slit in keeping with Islamic teaching.
In a letter published in the French press, she wrote: 'Because you do the opposite of what you say, I am studying a proposition from the Independent Ecology Alliance to be their presidential candidate in 2012.
'No matter whether it's someone from the political left or right, we just need a voice to stand up and defend animal rights.'
The ecology party's chairman Antoine Waechter added: 'We think she is the best person to represent us for the presidency. If she accepts, a final decision will be taken next year.'

News that Bardot could run for the French presidency comes as a surprise, given that in an interview with FRANCE magazine last month, she said that politics disgusted her.
'I am greatly misunderstood by politically correct idiots. Politics disgusts me.'
In the same piece, she revealed that she didn't think much of Mr Sarkozy's wife, Carla Bruni, either, describing her as 'as beautiful as she is badly brought up.'

Bardot's controversial views and strong opinions means she is rarely out of the media spotlight. She is known for her strong right wing views on immigration and homosexuality and has been convicted and fined four times for racist and anti-gay remarks.
In 2008, she branded US presidential candidate Sarah Palin 'a disgace to women' and described her as 'disconcertingly stupid'.
In the same year, a court fined her £15,000 for inciting racial hatred by writing that Muslims were destroying France.
She is currently fighting plans by a Hollywood director Kyle Newman to make a film of her life. She said she would would never authorise the movie because no one could portray her accurately on screen.
She fumed on France's Europe 1 radio: 'A film about my life? But I'm not dead!
'They wouldn't dare do it without talking to me. If they do sparks will fly.'

Bittersweet victories for gay rights advocates in US

It has been a groundbreaking year for gay rights advocates, who have won a series of courtroom victories on issues including same-sex marriage and adoption. Last week, a judge ordered the government to end its "don't ask, don't tell" policy barring gay men and lesbians from serving openly in the military.

But several recent incidents point to a harsher reality on the ground. At least five teens across the country have taken their own lives after allegedly being taunted as gay. Authorities in New York have recently arrested 10 people in the Bronx in connection with brutal assaults on two teens and an adult who police say were tortured for being gay. And Carl P. Paladino, the Republican candidate for governor of New York, grabbed headlines for saying that children should not be "brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid and successful option."

The incidents have sparked outrage from gay rights advocates, who say they are evidence that much work is left to do despite the movement's significant and rapid progress.

"It's a very odd moment, because there's all of these horrific things happening, and they are happening at a moment when we're making faster progress than, I think, ever before," said Kevin Cathcart, executive director of Lambda Legal, an advocacy group.

He and other advocates also note that most of the victories in court are being appealed. On Thursday, the Obama administration asked the federal judge to stay her ruling on the "don't ask, don't tell" policy, even as Pentagon officials announced that, in the meantime, they would comply with the law and refrain from dismissing service members who violate the policy.

This summer, supporters of gay unions won a historic victory when a federal judge struck down California's voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage. The decision followed a ruling in Massachusetts declaring unconstitutional the federal government's ban on recognizing legally married same-sex couples. Both decisions are on hold pending appeal, and the California case is likely to end up before the Supreme Court.

On Wednesday, Florida officials announced they would comply with a court ruling that the state must drop its 33-year ban on adoptions by gays. And a federal judge in Washington state late last month ordered the reinstatement of a decorated Air Force officer who had been dismissed for disclosing she is a lesbian.

But the Bronx attacks, the rash of teen suicides and the remarks by a prominent politician - who later apologized - have cast a shadow over the legal gains.

According to police, the 10 men in the Bronx attacks lured the teens and a 30-year-old man into a home and "tortured" them for several hours while using gay epithets.

Last month, Tyler Clementi, 18, a Rutgers student, jumped off a bridge after a sexual encounter he had with another man was caught on a webcam and broadcast. About the same time, Seth Walsh, an openly gay 13-year-old, hanged himself in his Fresno, Calif., home after complaining of bullying, according to media reports.

Asher Brown, 13, of Houston shot himself after classmates mocked him by calling him gay, his parents told the Houston Chronicle. Billy Lucas, a 15-year-old from Indiana, hanged himself after enduring years of torment, a friend told news organizations.

And 15-year-old Justin Aaberg, who killed himself in July, was the third openly gay student from his Minnesota high school to take his own life in a year, according to media reports.

Gay rights groups acknowledge that it is impossible to fully know why someone commits suicide. But they say the confusion, isolation and bullying that gay youths often experience can contribute to depression and self-destructive thoughts.

The advocates, who view their struggle as a fight for civil rights, add that social change often sparks negative reactions.

"Our gains are generally so hard won, and take place in the context of fairly vitriolic debate, so the message that goes out is not just what the victory is but also the horrendous debate that surrounds it," said Eliza Byard, executive director of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network.

Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, a conservative Christian group, has argued that it is unfair to blame society for the actions of a misguided bully, or a single troubled teen driven by unknown forces to take his or her own life. He criticized gay rights groups that encourage youths to embrace homosexuality at an early age.

"Bullying is bad regardless of what the motivation. But let's not jump to the conclusion that suicide was the result of bullying, and that bullying was a result of homosexuality," Perkins said.

Ethan Geto, a longtime gay activist and lobbyist, said that the incidents of violence, while disturbing, should not obscure advances. Advocates point to public opinion surveys, including Post polls showing that 75 percent of Americans think gay men and lesbians should be allowed to serve openly in the military, and nearly half think gay men and lesbians should be allowed to legally wed.

"This is the fastest civil rights movement in history," Geto said. "While obviously, in some communities, terrible incidents of terrible physical and emotional violence occur, it's a shadow of what it used to be like."
